He Knows the Door to My Soul and 9ho Forgot to Novel 99

The brothers exchanged a look. For a long moment, the air was tense, silent. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. Today, of all days, they had to participate in Alpha male posturing? I expected as much from Andrei, but I had hoped Damon would act with a little more maturity considering the night we’d both had.
But then again, I supposed they were still brothers at the end of the day. The apple never falls far from
the tree.
“Fine,” Damon finally said. “We’ll settle this the old–fashioned way.”
Andrei smirked. “And I’ll beat you, just like I always did when we were kids.”
Damon’s lip curled, revealing partially extended fangs. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, shaking my head. Males and their fucking pride. But at least they were finally agreeing on something.
We all headed to the sparring ring behind the barracks. It was a simple dirt circle surrounded by wooden posts, but it served its purpose. The warriors of Ashmoor trained there daily, and Damon often joined them to keep his skills sharp.
Alina, the female warrior, fell into step beside me as we walked. I glanced at her from the corner of my eye, taking in her imposing figure. She was taller than me by at least half a foot, her blonde hair completely buzzed to the scalp on one side with swirling designs tattooed into the skin. The other side was long, with multiple braids and silver rings woven throughout.
That, combined with the eye patch over her left eye, gave her a fierce appearance. Even more so with the jagged scar cutting across her brow.
“Luna Natalia,” she said quietly.
I tensed. “Yes?”
“Mila says hi.”
My steps faltered. “Mila?”
Alina nodded, her one visible eye fixed straight ahead. “She personally insisted that I be sent here with my brothers.”
A small smile tugged at my lips despite myself. After our tearful reunion at Moonshadow, I wasn’t sure where Mila and I stood. The fact that she’d specifically requested Alina be sent here could only mean one thing: she trusted Alina.
And if Mila trusted her, then maybe I could, too.
“How is she?” I asked, keeping my voice low.
“She’s well. Still Delta, still running us all ragged with her ceaseless training.” Alina’s lips quirked up slightly. “She talks about you sometimes. Been talking about you a lot more lately, though. She also
wanted me to tell you, and I quote, that you’re a ‘fucking bitch for running off like you did‘. Her words, not mine.”
I snorted. “That sounds like Mila.”
Finally, we reached the sparring ring. The warriors and a few Ashmoor guards had already gathered around, forming a loose circle. Damon and Andrei were standing in the center, sizing each other up.

Lilith was there, too, already lounging against one of the wooden posts. When she spotted me, curled into a smirk. I ignored her.
“I haven’t seen you fight properly in years, brother,” Andrei said, rolling his shoulders. “I wonder if you’ve improved at all.”
“Enough talk,” Damon replied, already reaching for the hem of his shirt.
He pulled it over his head in one fluid motion, tossing it aside. His torso was lean but muscular, marked with a few scars from previous battles. I’d seen him shirtless plenty of times over the years, but it was still an impressive sight.
Not to be outdone, Andrei removed his shirt as well, letting it drop to the ground at his feet. My mouth went dry as, unbidden, thoughts of seeing him completely nude with his cock inside of me just days ago flitted through my mind.
Andrei had always been broader than Damon, his shoulders wider, his chest more developed. The years had only enhanced his physique.
His skin was smooth and golden, stretching over hard muscle that flexed with each movement. A thin trail of dark hair disappeared beneath the waistband of his pants, drawing my eye lower until all I could think of was that hard member he’d used to pleasure me.
Dammit.
I swallowed hard and forced myself to look away.
“Twenty on the Alpha!” one of the Ashmoor guards called out, and several others quickly placed their
bets.
“Make it fifty,” Viktor countered, smirking. “On Alpha Andrei.”
The betting continued as the brothers circled each other in the ring. They were both barefoot now, their stances low and ready. Years of training had made their movements fluid and precise, and I couldn’t help but watch with anticipation.
If I hadn’t been the Luna, I might have made a bet myself, although I wasn’t sure which brother I would choose.
