Angela immediately saw through Harvey's insinuation but didn't rush to defend herself.

Instead, she maintained her composure and said calmly, "To be honest, before taking over as CEO of Graham Group, I'd already worked in its design department for some time as an observer from DawnStar Co.

"During that time, I saw all of Graham Group's shortcomings and had various discussions with my father, Mr. Bill Graham. Many of my decisions were made after consulting him-of course, some of them were also my own ideas. Mr. Collins, I have always believed in one thing-the student surpassing the teacher."

It was clear that others had no real understanding of what she had done or not done. As such, she only needed to make her stance clear.

At the very least, this kind of business partner had their own guiding principles.

The doubt in Harvey's eyes gradually faded as he looked at her, even showing a trace of admiration.

Angela let out a subtle sigh of relief-it looked like her strategy had worked.

"Angela! Angela, show yourself!" A sharp male voice suddenly rang out.

She immediately sensed trouble and gave Clara a meaningful glance.

Clara immediately stepped forward but was shoved aside by Sean. "Angela, I'm here to settle the score with you."

He hadn't shown up before this, and she doubted he would have shown up after. He just had to appear the moment Harvey arrived. If this wasn't deliberate, she'd be damned.

Angela sneered inwardly but kept a composed expression. Turning to Harvey, she said, "Mr. Collins, would you mind waiting in the reception area for a moment?"

She had no intention of showing even a hint of weakness or disorder in front of an important guest.

Harvey gave her a long, knowing look. He didn't seem interested in the spectacle and followed Clara out.

That was when Sean suddenly shouted, "Mr. Collins! Ever since this woman took over, she has been causing chaos, showing no regard for the contributions of the company's veteran employees.

"She fires people at will, ignores advice, and even dares to change the rules that have been in place for decades. A person like her is utterly unfit for leadership! I say, whoever partners with her is doomed to suffer!"

Sean's gritted voice was so ear-splitting that it felt like the entire building was trembling.

Murmurs spread among the employees nearby instantly, but since they were too

far away, Angela couldn't make out what they were saying.

"Ms. Graham, it seems you have yet to win over the employees," Harvey remarked with interest.

He had to admit that Angela was a force to be reckoned with, pushing forward drastic reforms with

Angela remained unfazed. "Apologies, Mr. Collins, for letting you witness such a scene. Mr. Sean here was formerly the head of our operations and logistics department, but dismissed him for negligence of duty.

"He has no connection to Graham Group anymore, yet he stands here spouting

nonsense, slandering and defaming me. I will not let this slide."

Her voice was exceptionally gentle, but the chill that came with it was overwhelming.

"Mr. Sean, considering your past contributions to Graham Group, I'll give you one chance-leave now, and I'll overlook your foolishness." Angela turned to Sean, her gaze carrying a hint of mockery.

She wasn't afraid, nor did she care.

Sean's face twisted in fury. He let out a cold, scornful laugh. "Angela, do you really think you're someone important? Look at yourself! How dare you talk to me like that? I've been at Graham Group-"
