Chapter 274
That being said, the truth was clear. It was both logical and expected.
Angela tightly gripped her clothes in silence. It was Andrew once again. She'd thought he'd given up, but his bold actions surprised her. Given how shameless he was, she decided not to give him another chance.
She directly reported Andrew to the police and filed a lawsuit against him. The police acted swiftly, conducting an investigation and gathering evidence within just two days before moving to apprehend him.
Despite Andrew's prolonged resistance, the competent officers ultimately overpowered him. This incident also created quite a buzz within Graham Group.
Angela had been staying in the hospital all this while. Joanne and Rocky were the ones who shared the news with her.
Yet, an unexpected guest arrived at the hospital the night Andrew was arrested. It was his wife, Bianca Carpenter. Accompanying her was Sean, who had only been released two days ago.
Both of them made their intention to see Angela clear. Even though Angela initially wasn't interested in meeting them, Bianca was determined and refused to leave.
"Mrs. Graham, how have you been?" Angela inquired gently as she poured coffee for both of them.
Bianca's eyes were swollen as she stared at Angela. Suddenly, she stood up and was about to kneel.
Sean, acting out of character, quickly followed her and knelt before Angela. He'd been arrogant before, but now he was submissive.
Angela ignored Sean and stepped forward to support Bianca. "Mrs. Graham, what are you doing?"
"Ms. Graham, please let Andrew go. He's old and unlikely to return from prison. You're a kind person, and l
hope you can prevent our familet
from being torn apart." Bianca
looked up, her face brimming with tears.
"Please, Ms. Graham." Sean also pleaded, but his attitude was less sincere than Bianca's.
Angela felt utterly powerless. "You need to get up first. I also don't understand why Mr. Andrew has been continuously targeting me even after I gave him a fair chance."
"It's our fault for not stopping him. Why is he so stubborn?" Bianca cried even louder, her misery making Angela feel sad too.
Angela felt scared and paranoid,
knowing that many might be
watching her in the hospital. She was also worried that Bianca might have a hidden recording device. She knew she had to be cautious.
Sean clenched his teeth and said, "If you let him go, we will leave the country and never return. Angela, my dad has been loyal to the company for years—"
Angela interrupted him and sighed faintly. "Do you think others haven't noticed his loyalty? At first, he may have been unhappy with my role as CEQ, but recently, he has shown a personal grudge against me.
"I can ignore his attacks, but this time he crossed a line by jeopardizing the
company's interests. I can't accept that."
Her voice was calm and firm, leaving no room for compromise.
"Are you truly going to be this heartless?" Sean glared at her, his eyes intense and threatening.
Angela remained silent, her gaze piercing as she met his eyes.
"Alright then." Sean suddenly pulled out a shiny dagger from his sleeve and charged at Angela.
