Chapter 1050
Chapter 1050 Am I Mistaken?
Gloria’s eyes flickered. Seeing that Karen’s eyes were unconsciously filled with happiness, her eyes flashed a hint of envy.
Although Joseph had never liked her, he loved Karen so much and doted on her.
Karen still felt happy. It was true love. They had truly held hands for their whole life.
Gloria smiled, “I know Grandpa loves you, but Grandma, don’t argue with him because of me.”
“Don’t worry. Nothing’s going on between your grandfather and me, and we’ve never argued because of you.”
Gloria pursed his lips. She knew that no matter what she said, Karen would not change. She would still stand by her and stick up for her.
She was moved but also felt helpless. She didn’t want her grandmother to be influenced by her case.
The two elders were getting on in years, so they were not so strong compared with their youth.
As she thought of this, Gloria grabbed Karen’s hand again. Her fingertips accidentally touched Karen’s pulse.
Seeing her worrying look, Karen immediately smiled, “Sweetie, don’t be anxious about that. I’ll be okay.”
Gloria subconsciously smiled and shook her head, but…
Her expression suddenly changed. Gloria quickly turned her head, afraid that Karen would see something wrong. She took a deep breath. Shock flashed across her eyes.
How could it be?
Maybe…
She was mistaken!
“Gloria?”
Karen seemed to have sensed that something was wrong with her. She held Karen’s pulse with one
hand and lifted the other hand lightly on her nose. She whispered, “I, I want to sneeze.‘
Karen smiled and did not speak. She seemed to be waiting for her to sneeze.
However, Gloria’s fingertip was still on Karen’s pulse.
Seeing that Gloria did not move, Karen laughed, “Hah, it looks like you can’t make it.”
Gloria responded and pretended to look up to sneeze.
But her heart was trembling uncontrollably. “Am I… mistaken?”
“That shouldn’t be the case. Jordy arranged regular physical examinations for them. Didn’t they check this item…?”
Her heart could not help trembling. She forcefully controlled her emotions and checked her pulse again and again.
“Ouch, you can’t make it, hah!”
Gloria was in a mess. She took a deep breath.
Then she turned around and said helplessly, “It’s so annoying.”
Karen chuckled. “Take it easy. I know you’ve been busy these days. You can come to see me when you are free. ”
A trace of complexity flashed across Gloria’s face, but it recovered in the next moment. She nodded with a smile, “Okay, I’m not that busy these two days. I’ve already settled the affairs relating to the court.”
