Chapter 45 A Warning Unheard
Lauren trembled with anger. “Xavier! You’re still defending her at a time like this! Get it straight, who is your sister! Look. Bianca is bleeding!”
They called it bleeding, but it was just a tiny cut. A little longer and it would have healed on its own.
But in their eyes, this tiny wound was a grave injury.

She hissed in pain but stubbornly continued to wash her body.
Thinking of Bianca’s words from earlier, she slowly looked down at her stomach, her face frighteningly pale.
Zara sat on the sofa, her face full of impatience, listening to her mother’s lecture.
Seeing her words had no effect, Amanda hardened her heart and grounded her again.
Zara exploded. “I’m 24 years old! Not 14! You’re still grounding me over every little thing?”
“As long as you refuse to stay away from Tatiana, I’ll keep you grounded.”

Bianca apologized hoarsely, but there was still no reaction from inside the room.
Even Xavier frowned. Since she had already apologized, why was Tatiana still being so unforgiving?
His patience ran out as the silence continued.
