Chapter 1678
Everyone nodded at Marion's call. They split tasks fast.
Randy drove Erica toward the Osborne Mansion, speeding through the dark.
When they parked, he didn't budge from the driver's seat.
"Don't stress. I'm here with you," Erica said, squeezing his hand.
She knew what ate at him. If Enoch was really the Illuminati's head, it would spark a war. His relationship with Enoch would be unmendable.
"I never saw this coming," Randy said, his face shadowed with a rare gloom.
He had always known Enoch didn't care about him, Yvette, or their family.
In fact, he had never known much about Enoch. Without Theda's hunch today, he'd never have linked Enoch to the Illuminati.
"If Enoch is tied to them, what will you do?" Erica asked, watching him closely.
She knew that blood was thicker than water.
"I don't know." Randy shook his head.
Being the heir to the Osborne family never mattered to him, but he could not deny his bloodline.
If it came to picking sides, he didn't know if he'd back Marion or sit it out.
Erica sensed his struggle, gripping his hand tighter. "Don't overthink it. Maybe we're off base."
Randy squeezed her hand back. Together, they walked in.
The front gate hung open. Lights blazed in the living room, but it was empty.
A maid spotted Randy and perked up. "Sir, you're back. To visit Mrs. Osborne? She just had dinner. I'll fetch her."
"No need. Where's my dad?"
"Um, not back yet."
"Company stuff?"
"Probably. He's been gone a couple of days. Out of town, I guess," the maid replied, tilting her head. "Why are you interested in company stuff all of a sudden?"
He had always dodged business talk. This was new.
"It's nothing. I brought Erica here to talk about our engagement," Randy lied.
The maid lit up. "Engagement? Your parents will be thrilled."
Erica smirked inside. Yvette might be thrilled, but Enoch would never cheer for them. Get full chapters from Find~Novel.net
"We're heading up to see my mom. You guys carry on," Randy said, brushing them off.
