Luca’s POV

Mara gasped as the chill air breezed over her warm areas. I grinned as I spread her legs wide for my view. “God, you’re so beautiful”, I uttered. I ran a finger through her folds, making her moan as her head fell backwards. “Daddy, please”, she begged. I chuckled, bending my head forward and running my tongue over her entire pussy, making her cry out in pleasure. I inserted two fingers into her and started pumping them in and out as my tongue played with the bundle of nerves.

Mara’s body writhed with pleasure as her hips rocked against my hand and face. I placed my free hand on her hip to hold her down. “Oh god, daddy. Please don’t stop”, she moaned as her fingers laced through my hair. I groaned as I pumped my fingers harder. “I want you to come for me, bambina”, I growled. The moan that cut through Mara’s lips had me leaking in my pants. I’m not going to worry about the ragging monster behind my zipper right now though, because right now it is about Mara being distracted from the events that have been happening around us.

Mara laid on the desk top, breathing heavily, and glowing heavenly. “You are the most stunning woman I have ever met”, I whispered, tracing my fingertips up her legs. “That was the best distraction of all time”, she uttered, breathlessly. I chuckled, as I slipped her shorts back onto her feet and up her legs. I helped her finish dressing. Then I wrapped my arms around her to hug her close to me. “I’m going to protect you, bambina”, I assured her, stroking her hair.

“I know you will”, she whispered, with her face buried in my neck. “Come, baby girl. Let’s get you some breakfast”, I said, standing from the chair. Mara nodded as she followed my movements. I took her hand and led her out of the office and back to the kitchen. My mother sat in her chair, quietly stewing. I knew that look. She can’t stand Robert, and I can’t blame her. “Ma”, I called out. She looked up at me, then over at Mara.

“I hate that man. What did he say to you?”, she asked Mara. Mara looked up at me, silently asking me to take the lead here. “He wanted to warn us that Franky was after Mara”, I said bluntly. My mother frowned. “Did he, now?”, she asked. I nodded in agreement. “That seems a little fishy coming from him”, my mom said thoughtfully. I nodded again as I sat down in a chair, pulling Mara with me. “That’s what I thought”, I acknowledged.

“The way that he talks seems like he has an inside man, or is the inside man”, I said thoughtfully. Mara’s body stiffened, “I got the same feeling from him”, Mara whispered. I stroked her side softly, “Did you?”, I asked. She nodded her head, as she reached across the table to start making a plate. I watched her as she loaded the plate down with food. She’s making my plate, obviously, by the size of the helpings.

Sure enough, she slid the plate to my left side so that I could eat, then began making her plate. “You are a blessing, Bella”, my mother murmured, as she patted Mara’s arm. Mara half-smiled at her, as she made herself a small plate. “Eat up, piccola”, I uttered, patting her leg. “So what are your plans today?”, Ma asked her. “I need to finish up my assignments for tomorrow”, Mara answered softly.

My hand gripped her thigh roughly. Is she considering going to school tomorrow? Is she really considering going to school tomorrow? After being shot, and now her life being threatened? “Marabella”, I muttured. “I need to daddy. I can’t miss any school time”, she whispered. I rested my head on her back and sighed. I set aside the words I wanted to say and ate my food instead. I don’t want to express my worries or concerns in front of my mother because I know Mara won’t back down on this.

“I need to go out to the compound today. Make sure that everything there is still running well. After Friday’s events, I need to make sure there isn’t any backlash”, I explained. Mara looked over her shoulder at me. “Can I go with you?”, she murmured. I tilted my head to the side and studied her. “Are you sure?”, I asked concernedly. She nodded meekily. “Okay”, I nodded, taking another bite of my food.

Mara released a deep breath and continued to eat herself. Mom watched us closely. As if she was analyzing the situation, trying to decipher if everything was okay between us. Which it is. I am not mad at her for wanting to go to school. Hell, I am so fucking proud of her for barreling through everything that has been thrown our way so far. She pushes forward without fear. Yet, I am fearful for her safety. At least right now. With Franky hanging this threat over her head. I need to know that she is safe at all times. That’s my only concern about her going to class.

When we finished up eating, Mara took our plates to the sink and washed them. I sat at the table and watched her, admiring her every move. Once she was done, she turned and caught my eye. I watched as her breath escaped her parted lips. “Are you ready, bambina?”, I asked. “Yes daddy”, she murmured, walking towards me. I stood from my seat and extended my hand to her. “Let’s go then, little one”, I uttered.
