An hour later, Leilani’s car finally drifted slowly into the villa area. When she arrived at the entrance of the villa, she was just about to park when she caught a glimpse of a familiar figure.

Zeus was wearing a crisp suit, standing by the fountain in the front yard of the villa. A doctor in a white coat was standing next to him, and the two were conversing. As they spoke, they kept looking toward the main gate of the villa, as if waiting for someone.

Zeus certainly acted the part of the gentle elite in front of others. One couldn’t see a trace of the arrogant, self-satisfied look he usually wore in front of her.

What a poseur!

Leilani rolled her eyes, mocking him in her thoughts. Immediately after, she frowned. She was here to treat a patient. The Sloan family were all cut from the same cloth-acting like rabid dogs the moment they saw her. Running into him here would not be a good thing.

Leilani immediately turned the steering wheel and drove around to the back door to park. She didn’t want to run into Zeus in front of her patient, nor did she want to waste words on him in such a setting.

After parking the car, she entered the villa directly through the back door. To facilitate Leilani’s treatment of Mr. Chilton, she had been temporarily included in Mr. Dillon’s team. Mr. Dillon had even issued her a pass.

With the pass, and because the guards recognized her from her last visit, Leilani entered without any

issues.

Just as she walked into the hall, Floyd received the news and came rushing out to meet her. He was very happy and grabbed her wrist.

“Leilani! You’re finally here!”

Leilani stumbled slightly from his pull, feeling his enthusiasm, and said helplessly, “Mr. Dillon, slow down… I almost wiped out.”

Floyd didn’t care about that; he dragged her directly toward his office. “Quick, quick! I’ve looked over the data you checked before. There are a few cases that are particularly interesting. Let’s discuss them!”

As Leilani was dragged along, she couldn’t help but look back out the window. Zeus seemed to still be in the front yard and hadn’t noticed her yet.

She withdrew her gaze and followed Floyd into his office. The desk was piled high with printed case files, all of which Leilani had looked up in the hospital archives using his ID badge. She had spent several days going through difficult and complicated cases from the last ten years, finally screening out dozens of valuable ones to send to him. It seemed he had printed them all out in advance.

Floyd flipped through the materials excitedly, pointing to one of them. “This case! Three years ago, there was a patient whose condition was very similar to Mr. Chilton’s. Although the treatment failed at the time, look at their medication regimen… I think there are parts worth referencing.”

Leilani leaned over, read it carefully, and then shook her head. “The dosage of this drug isn’t very relevant for Mr. Chilton. Although this patient was about the same age, Mr. Chilton has been poisoned for a while now, so his metabolic level is much lower than this patient’s. If it were the early stages of poisoning, this case would be quite valuable, but given Mr. Chilton’s current situation, it’s obviously not appropriate. We still have to consider the metabolic differences between different patients.”

She had selected this case primarily to use as a point of contrast.

Floyd nodded repeatedly as he listened.

Leilani smiled, carefully selected a few cases she found most impressive from the folder she brought, and spread them out on the table.
