“Mr. Langley, everything has been investigated. These are the major projects the Lambert family has been negotiating recently. The Lamberts have been getting quite close with Horizon Realty and Vansh Capital. The Lambert family also recently invested several hundred million dollars in cash flow into the Sloan Group.”

Callahan listened to Lennox’s report, matching the information in his mind.

“Mr. Palmer from Horizon Realty… Isn’t he the one who begged me to approve that plot of land in the South District last month?”

Lennox understood immediately. “Yes. Mr. Palmer has always wanted to deepen his cooperation with the Langley Group.”

“Then give him a chance.” Callahan turned around, his eyes sharp and revealing his intent. “Arrange a dinner. Invite Mr. Palmer, Mr. Larson from Vansh Capital, and those core partners of the Lambert family.”

Lennox nodded. “Understood. I’ll handle it right away.”

Inside the private dining room, the light from the crystal chandelier was soft, reflecting on the mahogany dining table.

Several business tycoons sat on either side. After a few rounds of drinks, the atmosphere seemed lively, but an undercurrent of tension flowed beneath the surface.

Mr. Palmer, holding his wine glass, leaned close to Callahan with a face full of smiles. “Mr. Langley, regarding that land in the South District, it’s really thanks to your approval. Otherwise, how would Horizon Realty have had the chance to participate?”

Callahan’s long fingers rested on the edge of his glass. He lifted it slightly in response, his voice deep. “You’re too kind, Mr. Palmer. Cooperation leads to mutual wins.”

Seeing that Callahan was willing to engage, Mr. Palmer immediately seized the opportunity. “Yes! Mr. Langley has such great vision! Horizon Realty will definitely follow the Langley Group’s lead in the fut

Callahan swept a glance at him, not taking the bait. Instead, he asked casually, “Mr. Larson, I recall you’re currently working with the Lambert family on an eco-park project, right? How is the progress?”

Mr. Larson froze for a moment, not expecting Callahan to suddenly bring this up.

However, having survived in the business world for so many years, Mr. Larson immediately feigned a realization and laughed.

Callahan tapped his fingertips lightly on the table, his tone casual. “I recall the Lambert family’s cash flow has never been very stable. Why would you think of partnering with them?”

The table went silent for a second.

Mr. Palmer and Mr. Larson exchanged subconscious glances, shock and confusion flashing in their

eyes.

Listening to Callahan’s tone, he seemed very dissatisfied with Mr. Larson’s cooperation with the Lambert family. When did the Lamberts offend him? Looking at Callahan’s demeanor, it was probably not a small matter.

After exchanging looks, Mr. Palmer stepped forward cautiously to probe. “Mr. Langley, how exactly has the Lambert family offended you? The Lambert family’s funding seems to have been okay in recent years. Didn’t they just invest several hundred million into the Sloan family recently? Is there… perhaps some misunderstanding?”

Callahan looked up, his gaze cold as a knife. “Mr. Palmer, do you think I look like I’m joking?”

The air suddenly solidified.

Mr. Larson felt a chill run down his spine and immediately.lowered his head to drink some wine to hide his panic. Mr. Palmer gripped his glass tightly, his knuckles turning white. It was over. The Lambert family had thoroughly offended Callahan!

Mr. Palmer gave a dry laugh and waved his hands hurriedly. “No, no, no. Mr. Langley, your information is always accurate! I was just… just a bit surprised.”

Callahan’s lips curved slightly. He picked up his glass and took a sip, his tone nonchalant. “In business, one must work with reliable people.”
