Seeing Clive leave, the manager turned and bowed deeply to Leilani, his attitude sincere. “Miss, I am terribly sorry you encountered such an unpleasant experience in our store. Our service was lacking.”

Leilani raised an eyebrow slightly. Surprised that the manager was so reasonable, she simply said, “It’s fine. Just give me the watch.”

Seeing her calm demeanor, Corey breathed a sigh of relief. He immediately signaled the associate to present the wrapped watch with both hands and took the initiative to offer a gesture. “To express our apologies, we have applied a VIP discount for you. This watch is fifteen percent off.”

Leilani glanced at him, the corners of her lips lifting slightly. “Thanks, then.” She took the box. The payment was indeed significantly cheaper than the tag price.

Before she left, Corey personally escorted her to the door, bowing slightly. “We hope you will visit us again. We will certainly provide you with better service.”

Leilani nodded, saying nothing more as she left with her shopping bags and watch box.

Meanwhile, at the Langley Group headquarters in a high-level conference room.

Callahan sat at the head of the table, his expression cold as he listened to the Marketing Department’s report. His long fingers tapped rhythmically and powerfully on the tabletop. Suddenly, his phone, which was set aside, vibrated. He looked down. A message from Micah popped up on the screen.

[Mr. Langley, look who this is? Your woman has good taste. She took so many bags; looks like she really likes the gift I gave her.]

Immediately after, Micah sent a photo.

In the photo, Leilani was walking out of the mall carrying several luxury shopping bags. The logo on one was clearly visible-it was the limited edition bag Micah had forced on

her.

Callahan’s eyes darkened instantly. He raised his hand, interrupting the Marketing

Director’s presentation.

“I need to make a call. Meeting adjourned for ten minutes.”

He stood up and walked out of the conference room, dialing Micah’s number.

The call connected quickly, and Micah’s lazy voice came through. “Well, Mr. Langley, calling back so soon? You seem concerned.”

Callahan’s voice was icy. “Micah, do you have a death wish?”

Micah chuckled low, his tone flippant. “What, angry? I just gave a gift, I didn’t do anything. Besides, Ms. Sloan didn’t refuse it. Look how happy she is holding it.”

Callahan laughed coldly. “You think I’d believe your nonsense?”

Micah sighed with feigned regret. “Callahan, you’re too boring. You don’t even know what your own woman likes; she has to rely on others for gifts. How about this? You hand Leilani over to me, and I promise to keep her happy. Deal?”

A chill rose in Callahan’s eyes, though his voice remained terrifyingly calm. “Micah, do you think I’ve been too lenient with you lately?”

Micah scoffed. “What, you are going to make a move on me?”

Callahan’s tone was indifferent. “You’re negotiating for the West District development, aren’t you?”

Micah’s laughter paused. “What do you mean?

Callahan said coldly, “You’ll find out tomorrow

He hung up immediately and blocked Micah’s number.

On the other end, Micah listened to the busy signal, stunned for a moment. Then, he smirked triumphantly. “Tsk, blocked me already? So he’s genuinely angry.”

He put away his phone in a good mood, the corners of his mouth curling up smugly.

“Callahan, looks like your day has come.”
