After hanging up, Carola let out a long sigh of relief. The anxiety in her heart seemed to have been washed away by Tamara’s tears.

She lay back on the bed, scrolling through social media again. Seeing the comments defending Leilani, she curled her lip.

Leilani really had the devil’s own luck. It was always like this. Every time they pulled a stunt, it never managed to actually hurt Leilani. She managed to dodge it every single time.

However, Leilani wasn’t actually hurt this time either. Given Leilani’s personality, she probably wouldn’t pursue it. This whole thing should be over, right?

Carola turned off her phone in annoyance, rolled over, and soon fell asleep.

On the other end of the line, Tamara wiped away the fake tears from the corner of her eyes and sneered. She opened the app and looked at the trending hashtags #Leilani Wrongfully Accused and #Tamara Framing, her eyes turning cold.

Carola, that idiot, was certainly easy to fool. Those words about not dragging Carola down were, of course, just to placate her. After all, Carola was still useful to her right now. She couldn’t let her get suspicious.

ne opinion had no impact on Leilani whatsoever, so she sent Judie off and decided to visit at Haven Sanatorium.

the garden of the sanatorium, sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground.

When Leilani saw her, Yvonne was sitting in a wheelchair, holding a tablet. On the screen was a screenshot of the now-deleted slanderous post.

She looked up and saw Leilani walking into the garden. There was a trace of surprise in her eyes.

“Leilani? Why are you here?”

Leilani smiled faintly and sat down beside her. “I figured you should be recovering well, so I came to check on you.”

“Leilani… I didn’t expect you to visit me today. The stuff online… I saw it all.”

Yvonne called Leilani’s name softly, her voice gentle but laced with concern. After all, who would have thought that Leilani, going from massive cyberbullying to a complete reversal of public opinion, would show no emotional impact throughout the entire ordeal? Instead, she had the spare time to calmly visit other patients. Anyone who knew about it would have to praise Leilani’s composure as god-tier.

Leilani paused, realizing only then just how big the situation online had become. Since even Yvonne, who was never interested in entertainment news, knew about it, the matter must be known to

everyone.

Yvonne pursed her lips and handed the tablet to her. “They used my fall down the stairs to attack you. Do you need me to come forward and clarify?”

Leilani glanced at the screen and shook her head slightly. “No need.”

Yvonne looked confused. “But…”

“The post has been deleted, and the heat will die down eventually.” Leilani’s tone was calm, as if discussing a trivial matter. “The most important thing for you right now is to rest and recover. Don’t get distracted by these things.”

Yvonne was silent for a moment before whispering, “No wonder I always felt that there was something strange about what happened back then.”

Leilani looked up at her.

Yvonne’s fingers unconsciously rubbed the armrest of her wheelchair, her voice very quiet. “Although I can’t remember exactly what happened that day, I always felt… you wouldn’t push me. Now, seeing the accounts from the guests who were there, I’m even more sure.”

Leilani was slightly stunned, then chuckled softly. “You saw that post too?”.

“Yeah.” Yvonne nodded, her eyes clear. “You saved my legs, and you never said a single bad word about Tamara in front of me. How could someone like that be the one who harmed me?”
