Judie grinned brightly. “Of course! Leilani told me about you. She said you were smart and resilient, a really impressive girl!”

Yvonne’s eyes lit up. She looked at Leilani, her gaze holding a trace of surprise and emotion. She hadn’t expected Leilani to talk about her to others, simply because Leilani didn’t seem like the type to do so.

Leilani cleared her throat lightly and calmly pulled out a chair to sit down. “Judie is just like this. You’ll get used to it.”

Judie immediately feigned offense. “What do you mean ‘just like this’? Leilani, I’ll give you one chance to rephrase that!”

Leilani smiled and shot Judie a glance, knowing she wasn’t actually mad.

Judie had noticed Yvonne was too nervous and shy, so she was intentionally trying to liven up the atmosphere.

But seeing the two of them looking like they were about to square off, Yvonne was clearly getting anxious. For someone with a shy, introverted personality like hers, Judie’s overly extroverted energy could sometimes feel overwhelming.

Yvonne, after her initial nervousness, realized Judie was just playing around. Watching their interaction, she couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh, her tension vanishing instantly. She actively took the seat next to Judie and asked curiously, “Have you known Leilani for a long time?”

Judie pondered, then shook her head. “Not really that long.”

All in all, she and Leilani had known each other for less than half a year. Saying it out loud, Judie felt she and Leilani were just fated. In such a short time, they had become such good friends. Leilani might even become her cousin-in-law in the future.

Judie and Yvonne began chatting about how she met Leilani. “You have no idea. When I woke up in the hospital room and saw Leilani, it was like

seeing a goddess! Later on, I never expected Leilani to have such a connection with my family.”

“By the way, do you know about my cousin and Leilani…” Judie instinctively felt Yvonne might know about the situation between Leilani and Callahan, and couldn’t resist gossiping.

Leilani shot her a cool glance. “Judie.”

Just one name, but loaded with a hidden threat.

Judie immediately got the message and shut her mouth, blinking innocently. She even made a motion of zipping her lips. “Okay, I’m mute. Not saying a word.”

Yvonne, confused, asked Judie, “Are you talking about Leilani and Mr. Langley? I saw Mr. Langley at Leilani’s door last night, saying goodbye like he didn’t want to leave. So, Mr. Langley is your cousin?”

As soon as Judie heard that Callahan was lingering at Leilani’s door last night, her big eyes instantly lit up like gossip lightbulbs. She looked at Leilani indignantly. “Leilani! Yvonne knows about you and my cousin! She knows even more than I do! So why did you make me shut up?”

She had never even seen her cousin look reluctant to leave someone, yet

Yvonne had seen it first!

This time, Leilani’s threatening gaze shifted to Yvonne. The tips of her ears turned slightly red where no one could see. She hadn’t expected Yvonne to remember last night. Fortunately, she and Callahan had separated quickly.
