After the assembly ended, Aubrey locked herself in the laboratory.

John looked at her, his eyes filled with resentment. “If it weren’t for you, we would have had plenty of time to improve the serum! You’re too selfish, Aubrey! You’re going to get those werewolves you infected killed!”
“Compared to them, you’re the one who deserves to die!”
John muttered and cursed as he went back to his experiments. He hadn’t paid attention to Alpha Henry’s speech and had no idea she was the lead researcher for the entire Kajit virus experiment.
He only knew that because of Aubrey, over one hundred and eighty werewolves were infected with the Kajit virus and would likely die a painful death. Omegas really are trouble, especially pretty
ones!

John secretly decided that if they survived this crisis, he still had to find a way to make the Alpha despise this omega. The dose Alpha Henry had injected was highly unstable, with a fifty–percent failure rate. It was only because Henry’s luck was good that no problems had occurred.
The improved serum was more stable, but the side effects were far more intense. Upon injection, it would violently destroy all diseased cells in the body. The resulting clash between the viral backlash and the potent medicine… even if no one had tried it, the data suggested the serum would likely be painful enough to kill.
