Chapter 170
Chapter 170:
The students understood the urgency of the situation and quickly complied. They followed Ashton’s lead into the wooded area without delay.
While navigating through the woods, the memory of the toxic mushrooms that had previously caused Liam’s severe allergic reaction came to Ashton’s mind.
Concerned for the well-being of his students, he formulated a detailed and stable evacuation plan as they moved deeper into the forest.
He remembered that during the previous excursion to collect firewood with Liam, he had discovered a cave that could serve as a safe haven, located deeper in the forest.
As Ashton led the group into the cave, he quickly found several toxic mushrooms.
He used the lighter to dry the mushrooms and then used nearby stones to grind them into powder.
Ashton then set up a makeshift trap with the mushroom powder around the cave to guard against potential threats.
At the same time, Liam and his subordinates were facing severe difficulties.
Liam was now curled up on the ground, trembling as if he were a beaten dog.
The assassins showed no mercy as they grabbed Liam by the hair and dragged him toward Ashton’s campsite.
The leader of the assassins stated in a cold tone, “You are responsible for identifying Ashton. If you fail at this simple task, not even death will be a mercy you’ll receive.”
Upon hearing the assassin leader’s command, Liam instinctively attempted to resist.
However, before he could make a move, a gun was pressed against his forehead.

The barrel, still warm from its recent discharge, instantly quelled any thoughts of rebellion.
Liam, usually brimming with arrogance, was accustomed to wielding knives and steel bars.
But a gun was beyond his experience.
He had never imagined anyone in Inewood could be so audacious as to brandish multiple firearms.
Terrified at the prospect of being shot, he began pleading desperately, “Don’t kill me! I beg you, don’t kill me. I’ll agree to anything you want. Please, spare me!”
The assassins ignored Liam’s pleas, dragging him to Ashton’s campsite, only to find it deserted.
The leader’s fury was palpable.
If it hadn’t been for Liam’s foolish attack, they wouldn’t have had to retaliate so hastily, exposing themselves in the process. This allowed Ashton and the others to sense something was amiss and flee.
Veins bulged on the leader’s forehead as he delivered a powerful kick to Liam.
The pain was so intense that Liam nearly vomited, but he dared not utter a complaint.
