Suddenly, he kicked Hayes, causing him to fall to the floor.
The other young men who had accompanied the bleached-haired young man quickly encircled Hayes. They began to punch and kick him.
Hayes’ cries of agony caused everyone around to shiver with fear. No one dared to step forward to help. The young man with bleached hair, possibly weary from the assault, paused and looked around the yacht. His eyes brightened when he spotted Rosalie and the others at the back of the crowd.
He then arrogantly whistled at the girls and shouted, “Guys, this ship is full of pretty ladies. Since we’re already here, why don’t we take them back with us for some fun?”
The aggressive behavior of the assailants had already sown panic among the yacht’s passengers. Upon hearing the threat to kidnap the girls, terror swept through everyone. Their faces turned pale with fear. They realized that more onlookers from the other yacht were witnessing the scene. Fearing they might suffer the same fate as Hayes, nobody dared to resist. The possibility of being thrown into the sea to perish was not beyond these ruthless attackers.
Meanwhile, Hayes was on the floor, clutching his head and enduring the assault without retaliation. Despite the pain, he looked angrily at Ashton and told him, “This is all your fault, you bastard! If you hadn’t injured my bodyguard, these thugs wouldn’t have the nerve to be this bold!”
Ashton was ready to step in, but Hayes’ accusation left him speechless. Even in this dangerous situation, Hayes continued to shift the blame onto him. Ashton decided that someone with such an attitude did not deserve his help.
The bleached-haired young man found Hayes’ accusations amusing. He signaled his friends to pause the beating and crouched down to hit Hayes again. He taunted, “Didn’t you claim to know Jacoby Marquez? Well, do you know who I am?”
Hayes spat out blood and retorted furiously, “I don’t care who you are!”

Before Hayes could finish his sentence, the young man revealed his identity. “I am Jacoby Marquez, the one you mentioned! You claimed we’re buddies, right? How come you don’t recognize me now that I’m right in front of you?”
Everyone around him was struck with fear at this revelation. Many had pinned their hopes on Hayes using his supposed connection with Jacoby to avert this crisis. However, Jacoby was right there, and Hayes didn’t even recognize him.
Hayes was stunned. Recalling his earlier defiant attitude toward Jacoby, he felt a cold shiver and began to tremble. Jacoby seemed pleased with the reverence he commanded.
He reached out and patted Hayes’ cheek with arrogance. “Why didn’t you check whose yacht this was before you rented it? You boasted about owning it in front of me. Did you really think I was a nobody?”
Confronted by Jacoby, Hayes was overwhelmed with fear. He had often dropped Jacoby’s name, claiming that he knew him to enhance his status as Jacoby’s prominence grew. Now, he had unexpectedly come face-to-face with Jacoby himself.
The situation caused conflicting reactions among everyone. They had been mocking Ashton, speculating if his car was just a rental for appearances. Unexpectedly, it was Hayes who was exposed first for actually renting the yacht. Furthermore, his claims of being friends with Jacoby turned out to be false.
