Chapter 305
Chapter 305:
Lately, Fraser had been keeping a low profile to such an extent that even the personnel Ashton had assigned to monitor his regular locations were unable to locate him.
Fraser’s peculiar conduct heightened Ashton’s suspicions, compelling him to directly investigate the Sup Group’s executives in preparation for any potential developments.
Noting Ashton’s resolute determination, Rosalie could not contest his decision, recognizing that his reasoning was compelling.
Representing Skyline Group, they proceeded to Sup Group’s branch for the scheduled negotiations.
To their astonishment, upon their arrival, they discovered that the individual designated to greet them was none other than Jacoby.
Positioned at the company’s entrance with a grim expression, Jacoby appeared profoundly troubled.
He had initially believed that his assignment to Inewood would enable him to reign supreme like a local despot.
However, due to Ashton’s interference, he had not only been disciplined by his family and removed from his role as general manager but also now lived in perpetual dread of potential retaliation from Fraser.
Upon encountering his adversary, Ashton, once more, Jacoby’s face reddened with fury. His demeanor was rigid, betraying his intense displeasure.
As Ashton and Rosalie drew nearer, Jacoby scoffed, “At last. Come with me inside. We shall see if you can depart as effortlessly as you arrived!”
Ashton had eagerly anticipated witnessing Jacoby’s submission, expecting a scene steeped in humility.
However, to his surprise, Jacoby still had the audacity to be confrontational, not only glaring at Ashton but also daring to utter threats.

Ashton wasn’t about to tolerate such insolence. He sneered and said, “You came to us asking for a truce and to negotiate, so I assumed you were genuinely ready to admit your mistakes. But if this is how you intend to treat us, then I see no point in continuing this discussion.”
Rosalie, feigning fright, chimed in, “Do you think they might be trying to lure us here, planning to imprison us and use us as leverage to threaten Skyline Group and my family?”
Ashton, rubbing his chin thoughtfully, concurred, “It seems quite likely. We should make our exit now.”
He then firmly took Rosalie’s hand, signaling their intent to leave.
Jacoby’s expression shifted immediately. Known for his playboy lifestyle, he was not a fool. He fully understood why his brother had designated him to meet Ashton. He recognized the high stakes involved.
The best-case scenario involved extending proper hospitality to Ashton and saying the right things.
The worst-case scenario was far graver: failing to accommodate Ashton appropriately, or worse, offending him, could trigger a catastrophic breakdown in negotiations.
