Chapter 335
Chapter 335:
With Ashton by her side, Rosalie felt completely safe and unaffected by the earlier chaos.
The little girl’s family, thankful for the couple’s intervention, invited them to dinner as a token of gratitude.
The child soon recovered her spirits, and the restaurant atmosphere turned cheerful and relaxed.
After a pleasant meal, Ashton and Rosalie said their goodbyes to the little girl and her family.
Leaving the restaurant, Rosalie seized the moment before Ashton could inquire about her plans.
“Ashton, do you have plans later? My birthday’s coming up, and I’d like to shop for a new dress. Would you join me? I don’t usually fuss over my outfits, but I want to look special for the party, especially with our project gaining attention in Inewood. I hope to make a positive impression.”
Rosalie felt a bit disingenuous saying this. Given her background, dressing poorly was hardly an option.
Regardless, her natural elegance meant that even the most unconventional outfits looked chic on her. Truthfully, she was seeking more time with Ashton.
Ashton, oblivious in matters of the heart, took her words at face value and responded with a playful grin, “It’s not every day a beauty invites me out. I’ll make the time.”
Rosalie, a bit naive in romance herself, mistakenly thought Ashton had caught her subtle hint and blushed in agreement.
Guided by Rosalie, they soon reached a bustling shopping district she knew well.
She quickly led Ashton to a stylish, upscale clothing store. By chance, they both gravitated toward a gown featuring a striking azure hue.

Picking up the dress, Ashton remarked, “This seems like it was made for you.”
Rosalie was pleasantly surprised that Ashton shared her opinion.
Her delight was evident as she held the dress up to see herself in the mirror.
“I also think this dress is stunning. Ashton, you really think so too, don’t you? Is it truly the right choice for me? Shall I try it on?” she asked, her voice tinged with excitement.
Such enthusiasm was uncharacteristic for Rosalie, prompting Ashton’s heart to flutter with affection.
Ashton paused briefly, then assured her confidently, “It fits you perfectly. I guarantee it will make you the center of attention at the party.”
Encouraged by his compliment, Rosalie beamed and took the dress into the fitting room.
While Rosalie changed, Ashton’s attention wandered around the store.
That was when he spotted a man behaving suspiciously near the storeroom, close to the fitting rooms.
