Chapter 350
Chapter 350:
With that, Fraser smoothly shifted the conversation, a subtle smile on his lips.
“But I have heard that you have been spending quite a bit of time with Rosalie while I have been occupied. I suggest you watch your behavior, to avoid giving people the wrong impression.”
Though the exchange appeared light, Ashton easily detected the underlying menace and warning in Fraser’s gaze.
Others might have felt intimidated, but Ashton remained composed, offering a slight smile as he replied, “You are reading too much into this. Rosalie and I have been getting along well, and I am not concerned about any misconceptions. After all, it is only those with something to hide who fear suspicion.”
Ashton’s vague response made it clear to Fraser that Ashton wasn’t intimidated by his threat.
Fraser’s smile slowly diminished, replaced by a subtle, cold expression as he continued to eye Ashton.
As their silent standoff intensified, a sharp, disdainful voice suddenly interrupted from behind them.
“You claim not to worry about others questioning your relationship with Rosalie? Who do you think you are? You have no right to be with her!”
Ashton turned toward the source of the voice, recognizing the speaker from a previous encounter at a Campbell family event. Selena had informed him that the woman in question was Jillian Campbell, Theo’s sister.
Jillian fixed Ashton with a frosty stare, her gaze filled with disdain and a sense of superiority, as if she regarded him as beneath her.
When she turned her attention to Fraser, her demeanor shifted to one of warmth and friendliness.
Jillian said with a flattering smile, “Fraser, do not let someone like him bother you. If it weren’t for his connection to Rosalie, he wouldn’t have any right to address you at this event. Rosalie may seem approachable, but she also has her air. Fraser, if you are open to it, I could be a better match for you. At least I won’t disregard your kindness the way Rosalie has.”

Fraser, upon hearing Jillian’s praise, replied with a hint of arrogance, “Jillian, there is no need to make such comparisons. It is impressive that Ashton has managed to excel despite coming from an ordinary background. It would not be fair to pit someone like him against those of us from wealthy families.”
Fraser then let his smile fade, speaking with a more serious tone. “Regarding your remarks about Rosalie, I will consider them a mere lapse in judgment. Having grown up with Rosalie, I am well aware of her character. I suggest you be more cautious with your words in the future.”
Jillian, sensing Fraser’s disapproval and rejection, felt a visible disappointment.
It was apparent to everyone that Ashton and Rosalie had been spending a lot of time together lately.
Jillian saw this as a chance to ingratiate herself with Fraser. If she could win Fraser’s favor, aligning with the Horton family could easily elevate her status.
Unfortunately, Fraser’s chilly demeanor toward her extinguished Jillian’s hopes.
