Chapter 365
Chapter 365:
As usual, Ashton attended the significant event, serving as Rosalie’s assistant.
Since Rosalie and Ashton had reached an agreement in advance, she gladly accepted the task of negotiating that Charlie had delegated to her. That night, they both packed their luggage, gearing up for the early flight the following day to Staville.
The exact intentions of the Marquez family and Fraser remained somewhat cloaked in secrecy, but Ashton was prepared for any scenario before they set off. If Fraser stirred up any trouble, Ashton could easily take care of him.
Inewood Airport, due to its strategic location, had become a major travel hub, contributing to the city’s swift development over recent years. Consequently, the airport was perpetually teeming with diverse crowds.
As Ashton and Rosalie queued for check-in, a young man who seemed to have just returned from a vacation approached Rosalie, whistling. “Hey, are you headed to Staville too? What a coincidence! I’m Ellis Byrd, a local there. If you’re looking for a place to stay, you’re welcome to crash at mine!” he offered cheerfully, flashing a broad smile.
Rosalie gave him a cool, unimpressed look and chose to ignore him completely. She had little interest in men of his type, especially since her heart already belonged to someone else.
Ellis, undeterred by Rosalie’s cold demeanor, only grew more interested. He attempted to strike up a conversation again. “Hey, don’t shut me out. Why not give me a chance to get to know you? You’re heading to Staville for work, aren’t you? My family has significant influence there. Say the word, and I could make sure a job is ready for you as soon as you arrive there.”
Rosalie responded with a dismissive glance and didn’t reply, instead drawing nearer to Ashton. It was then that Ellis pieced it together. She was probably taken. With a sly grin, he teased, “Is he your boyfriend? He looks fine, I guess, but check out his outfit. He doesn’t match up to you. How about this—I’ll bump your ticket to first class right now. Experience a bit of luxury on your way up!” Ellis felt quite smug about his offer.
The flight from Inewood to Staville was short, and though first class was significantly pricier than economy, it was a mark of wealth.

However, his smugness faded quickly when he noticed Ashton had already checked them in. Rosalie, taking Ashton’s arm, confidently headed toward the VIP lane.
Just like Ellis, buying pricier first-class tickets was not a big deal to both Ashton and Rosalie. Though the flight was short, they had independently secured their first-class seats, requiring no assistance from others. As they strolled away and the onlookers’ laughter reached his ears, Ellis’ cheeks reddened with embarrassment.
However, rather than feeling disheartened, he became even more captivated by Rosalie’s enigmatic allure. Following a brief wait, Ellis too boarded the plane. To his surprise, he discovered his seat was merely two rows behind Rosalie and Ashton.
The first-class cabin was sparsely populated due to the brevity of the flight, providing Ellis with an ideal chance to approach Rosalie. His eyes sparkled as he swiftly devised a new strategy.
