Chapter 387
Chapter 387:
There wasn’t much inside. As she pulled them out, the room fell silent. A soft gasp echoed through the small space.
What she pulled out was an elegant black bodysuit, sleek and sophisticated.
The women who knew their fashion exchanged glances. One of them said with envy, “Wow. She’s got real taste. I can’t believe she’s wearing this at her age. That’s definitely from the latest Evening Maple Fairy collection.
If I’m right, it’s worth at least twelve grand!”
Dora’s jaw nearly dropped when she saw the bodysuit. She could indulge in some of the more affordable pieces from that brand, which ran a few hundred bucks.
The Evening Maple Fairy collection was unexpected. Twelve grand for two tiny scraps of fabric was something else. She couldn’t afford something like that, so it definitely wasn’t hers.
As the girls murmured among themselves, Ashton leaned in, curious.
He knew the clothes were Rosalie’s that she’d left for washing. However, he hadn’t checked before.
When his eyes landed on the lustrous, revealing outfit, Ashton drew his breath.
Rosalie always carried herself with such quiet elegance, like something out of a fairy tale.
It caught him off guard to see she had pieces like this hidden away.
It stirred a memory of their time at the beach, and his thoughts drifted back to that moment.
Yet, Ashton wasn’t one to linger in such romantic thoughts for long. He snapped back to the present, regaining his composure.
A sly grin crept across his face as he asked, “So, have you figured out yet that these aren’t your clothes?”

The other women weren’t convinced. One of them shot back, “How would you know? Are you saying this is yours?”
Ashton raised an eyebrow, not missing a beat. “I’m not saying it’s mine, and it’s even less likely to be hers. Just look at the size! That lingerie wouldn’t fit her in a million years.”
That was when the others noticed the size tag on the bra, clearly marked D cup.
Dora’s eyes instinctively dropped to her chest. Her expression faltered, a mix of frustration and embarrassment flashing across her face.
She was cute, no doubt about that, but her figure was more modest. She barely filled a B cup.
Even if she wanted to claim the lingerie, the size difference made it impossible. Anyone could see that this piece was far out of her league.
Ashton’s comment hit her hard. The truth stung, leaving her embarrassed as he made it clear he wasn’t in the wrong while poking fun at her body in the process. Dora’s face turned bright red, the shame almost overwhelming.
Seeing Ashton’s smug expression only made it worse. Embarrassment swelled in her chest, mixing with a rising sense of indignation.
