Ashton realized he needed to be careful. A chaotic breakout would force Kirsten off stage, derailing his strategy.
So, Ashton quickly gave a cue to the show’s host. Grasping the situation, the host took immediate action, saying energetically, “Let’s stay calm, everyone. We can’t let disruptions ruin our show. If things turn chaotic, we might have to stop filming, and then you’ll miss out on Kirsten’s fantastic performance! Coming up, we’ll be choosing one lucky person from the audience to join Kirsten in a fun game!”
Prompted by the host’s reminder, the audience quickly saw the downside of continuing their uproar. After all, missing a chance to interact closely with Kirsten would be a significant disappointment.
So, everyone temporarily suppressed their anger and returned to their seats.
Kirsten was content with how things turned out. The fans’ fury had been ignited, and even if they held back now, she was confident they would retaliate against Ashton and his firm after the show. By then, Ashton’s newly established company would be thoroughly smeared, and he would be demoted or even dismissed by the senior management of Skyline Group. This was the cost of offending her!
Pleased with herself, Kirsten beamed with true delight. During the game, she even allowed the selected fan to hold her hand.
Following the segment, she made her way backstage for a break.
The fan who had shared the stage with Kirsten strutted down, visibly proud and reveling in the jealous looks from the crowd. Rather than returning to his seat, he headed straight for Ashton, determined to confront him for disrespecting his idol.
The anticipation of interacting with Kirsten kept the rest of the audience at bay, momentarily diverting their frustration away from Ashton.
Lance Turner, however, was in a unique position, having fulfilled his dream of sharing a moment with Kirsten and even holding her hand. At that point, he felt so fulfilled that being asked to leave the venue wouldn’t have bothered him.

Therefore, right after leaving the stage, he went straight to Ashton. Confronting him with a cocky air, Lance said, “Hey, are you the one who insulted Kirsten?”
“Yes, that’s me. What do you need?” Ashton replied, maintaining his composure.
Lance, not appreciating Ashton’s polite response, retorted, “Kirsten is a genuinely kind person. She apologized to maintain peace, but that was her choice, not ours! I’ve already started looking into your company. Once I’m home, I plan to reveal all the dirt on your operations online. Just wait for your downfall!”
Ashton chuckled softly. “Why waste your time? Instead of fixating on such a rotten person, you should focus on bettering your own life. She’s not worthy of your dedication.”
Lance’s temper flared even more at Ashton’s comments. “I won’t tolerate such disrespect toward my idol! I lead Kirsten’s fan club, and you need to apologize now, or you’ll find yourself kicked out of this TV station!” With that, he quickly summoned a group of fan club members, who encircled Ashton.
Ashton merely shook his head, stretched casually, and closed his eyes for a rest.
Moments later, he said leisurely, “I was just saying the truth. If your idol is even half as virtuous as you believe, that would indeed be surprising.”
To Lance and the other fan club members, Ashton’s remarks were seen as nothing short of provocation.
