Chapter 503
Chapter 503:
Emanuel was so shocked that he couldn’t react for a moment. His body subconsciously trembled with excitement.
He had no time to continue talking to Garrett. Before Garrett could even finish speaking, he hung up and raced down the hallway, his footsteps echoing with a sense of urgency. He couldn’t wait to get to the operating room.
At this moment, Kinsey and the other doctors were still firmly blocking Ashton’s way.
Ashton’s determination to force his way into the operating room without a word convinced Kinsey that he intended to extort the hospital.
So, Kinsey told the nurse to call the security department for help. When he saw Emanuel rushing over, he immediately reported, “Sir, don’t worry. We have everything under control. We’ll get those two out of here right away.”
Emanuel’s eyes widened when he heard this. Upon realizing Kinsey’s intention, he was so angry that he glared at Kinsey and scolded, “Nonsense! Who told you to drive them away? You fool! Get out of here and stop causing trouble. Also, arrange for some nurses and an anesthetist to come here immediately. We must do everything we can to assist Dr. Baldwin.”
After saying this, Emanuel entered the operating room, ready to assist Ashton.
Kinsey and the other doctors were left outside, utterly bewildered. They exchanged confused glances, wondering what on earth was going on.
The team leader of the masked men was right; there was no antidote for the deadly gas.
Despite Emanuel’s assistance and the concerted efforts of several medical staff, Milena’s condition was far more dire than Ashton had anticipated.
After about eight hours of relentless emergency treatment, Ashton managed to purge nearly all the toxins that Milena had inhaled, temporarily securing her life.

However, the toxins had already inflicted some irreversible harm, raising concerns about potential permanent damage.
Anyway, what mattered was that Ashton had miraculously pulled Milena back from the brink of death. As for any lasting effects, there might be future remedies.
This grueling eight-hour detoxification was a severe test of Ashton’s endurance and resolve. After ensuring Milena was safe, he collapsed to the floor, utterly spent and gasping for breath.
Emanuel, witnessing Milena’s precarious journey back to stable breathing, was profoundly impressed by Ashton’s medical prowess.
Once the ordeal was over, he promptly handed Ashton a bottle of energy drink with enthusiasm.
“Thank you,” Ashton said, accepting the drink with a brief nod before downing it.
Yet, the success of the operation didn’t ease the weight on his face, which was marked by an indescribable solemnity. Noticing this, Emanuel felt perplexed and ventured, “Mr. Baldwin, the patient is safe now. Why do you still seem so troubled?” Ashton shook his head slightly, his fatigue palpable, barely mustering the energy to speak.
