A flicker of irritation crossed Callan’s face as he exclaimed, “What’s so important that you can’t delay it to see your rival taken down? Are you keeping secrets from me?”
Jacoby couldn’t possibly reveal that Ashton had knocked out the 330-pound Henry with just one blow.
Admitting that might deter anyone from confronting Ashton on his behalf.
With a reluctant chuckle, Jacoby said, “If you insist, my household issues can wait a bit.”
Internally, he held onto a thin hope, thinking that Ashton couldn’t be that strong. Perhaps Ashton just struck Henry’s pre-existing injury, and that was why Henry fell so quickly. Besides, Toby and Bain were almost as strong as Henry!

He guided Jacoby to a seat nearby, snapped his fingers, and declared, “Alright, it’s time for your guys to act. Do as you see fit; I’ll take care of any problems that arise!”
