Chapter 524
Chapter 524:
“Can you see the situation now? You are at a disadvantage. No matter how much you resist, it’s pointless. So, just take my advice. Put your gun down and confess your crime.”
The police officer was obviously threatening Ashton again. Despite being held hostage, his confidence had turned into boldness because Ashton was outnumbered.
But Ashton didn’t waver at all. Instead, he sneered disdainfully, “You seem quite confident. Do you think I am afraid of these two?” When the other two police officers heard this, one of them shouted, “Hey, you! Do you know how serious the crime of assaulting a police officer is? At the very least, you will spend a few years in jail. And if you refuse to listen to our warning, we can even shoot you on the spot. We will give you one more chance. If you still want to live, throw your gun away and kneel on the ground.”
Jacoby, crouching fearfully, panicked. Trying to protect himself from any consequences, he quickly shouted, “Officer, I am not his accomplice. If you want to shoot him, just do it. I didn’t resist or attack you.”
Ashton glanced at Jacoby and sighed resignedly. Then, he moved the muzzle of his gun away from the temple of the police officer he was holding.
But before the other police officers could breathe a sigh of relief, Ashton suddenly hit the back of the captive’s neck with his arm, knocking him unconscious.
Immediately afterward, the gun in his hand moved, followed by two gunshots, hitting the hands of the two police officers holding guns.
This violent turn of events made the two police officers incapacitated, lying on the ground and screaming in pain. The police officers were caught off guard, not expecting this to happen. Jacoby also froze in place, utterly shocked.
Ashton must really be a madman. And now, he was implicated, which could lead to serious legal consequences.
While Jacoby was desperate, Ashton suddenly kicked him in the back.

Then, Ashton ordered quickly, “If you are still alive, get up and tie these men for me.”
Jacoby felt so terrible that he was on the verge of crying. “Ashton, are you out of your mind? We didn’t plant that bomb, and these police officers were only doing their job. Why did you hurt them?”
Ashton looked at Jacoby’s hopeless expression and replied coldly, “Just now, didn’t you wonder and ask why we didn’t wait for a car to pass by to hitch a ride? I am just answering your question now.”
Jacoby didn’t say anything. He just stared at Ashton in confusion.
Ashton snorted coldly and continued, “You still don’t get it? You must have noticed that there is no village or town around here, and it’s been ten minutes since the car exploded. If they really heard the noise, they must have rushed over. But they didn’t, right? Why did it take them so long?”
“Wait! Maybe the nearby villagers called…” Jacoby’s voice trailed off.
He didn’t need to be smart to realize something was wrong.
Since there were no villages nearby, and no vehicles coming and going, it was impossible for the police to have received a report from the public.
