Chapter 532
Chapter 532:
After all, if Beal, the sturdier of the two, had crumbled, then Jacoby was bound to be even more pliable.
Blissfully unaware that his brother had spilled the beans, Jacoby smirked at Ashton’s approach, masking his anxiety behind a facade of defiance.
“What now? Failed to crack my brother, so you’ve come to me hoping for a miracle? Don’t hold your breath. You won’t get a single word out of me!”
Unruffled, Ashton responded coolly, “It doesn’t really matter if you stay silent. Beal’s already sung like a canary. I know all about the Dark Night Organization being split into the Dark Hall and the Night Palace. Fraser is the envoy of the Dark Hall, making him second in command. Oh, and your precious Marquez family? Deep in his inner circle, helping him plan a major terrorist attack at an upcoming event. Ring any bells?”
Jacoby’s smugness evaporated in an instant, his grin freezing mid-contortion. There was no way Ashton could have unearthed all that on his own. If Ashton already knew this much, the interrogation would’ve been pointless.
Seething inwardly, Jacoby cursed Beal’s name. That traitor always played the invincible mastermind, yet he crumbled faster than he did!
Sensing the scales tipping against him, Jacoby abandoned his bravado. With a flicker of desperation, he spilled everything he knew, echoing much of what Beal had confessed. Ashton took it all in, cross-referencing the details, noting only a few minor inconsistencies between the brothers’ accounts.
Once satisfied that the Marquez brothers had shared all they knew, Ashton ordered them to be escorted back to their cell. The reunion was far from sweet. As soon as the brothers locked eyes, they descended into bitter accusations.
“I told you what to do, step by step! And now you’ve forgotten everything? You’ll be the disgrace of the entire family if we go down because of your stupidity!” Beal barked with venom.
Jacoby, never one to back down, shot back, “Oh, now you have something to say? You, the great heir to the Marquez name, couldn’t even keep your mouth shut when it mattered! Even if today hadn’t happened, your incompetence would have destroyed Sup Group. And that so-called ‘Top Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Staville’ award? How many pockets did you have to line for that one? Spare me your sanctimonious lectures, you bastard!”

Beal’s temper, pricked beyond endurance, exploded. He lunged at Jacoby, fists swinging.
The two brothers thrashed about like children, with Beal quickly gaining the upper hand. Jacoby, already injured, scrambled around the cell, dodging his brother’s wild punches and howling in pain.
Ashton, watching the chaos unfold from a distance, couldn’t help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all.
In the midst of the fray, Jacoby suddenly remembered Ashton’s promise. Desperation overtook him. “Ashton!” he shouted, as Beal’s blows kept coming. “You said you’d reduce my sentence! You’re not going back on your word, are you? I still need to get to the hospital and get my cast!”
Ashton, amused but unmoved, nodded. “I haven’t forgotten. But let’s be real—the scraps of intel you provided don’t make up for the damage you’ve caused. So, here’s the deal. You both get ten years on Warship Isle before you’re even considered for release.”
