Chapter 673
Chapter 673:
Despite Ashton’s calm attempt to steer the situation, Marc took no heed.
His response was as sharp as a blade, and his attitude only inflated further. “Who cares about your opinion? We’re here to take over your company. Consider this a notice, not a discussion!”
Marc sneered as his eyes scanned the company’s lobby before delivering his offer with mock generosity.
“Your company’s location isn’t bad, and the building is decent enough. Given the state of your business, I’ll be kind and offer you three hundred million for it. That’s the best I can do. You’ve got two days to prepare the documents and meet me at the Stock Exchange to finalize the ownership transfer.”
Ashton’s patience, usually his strongest virtue, began to unravel. The very thought of Marc’s proposal was enough to make him laugh bitterly.
“Three hundred million?” Ashton’s voice hardened, his politeness evaporating. “The shares I hold include those from Sup Group; the total worth of my shares is at least two billion. Are beggars this bold now? Let me give you some advice—if you have no legitimate business here, then leave. Otherwise, don’t blame me for being rude!”
Marc’s eyes widened in disbelief as the words sank in, then his face contorted with fury.
“Didn’t you hear me clearly? I’ll say it again—I’m from the Crawford family in Staville, and we’re here to take over your company. Watch your tone!”
Abrial seemed to want to speak, but Ashton cut in first, his voice steady yet firm.
“I don’t care which family you come from. Do you really expect me to bow to you because of that?”
Marc, sensing his pride beginning to crack, repeated, “The Crawford family! The Crawford family of Staville! Haven’t you heard of us?”

Ashton’s lips curled into a smirk.
“Staville is a city with millions of people. Thousands of them share the name Crawford. Why should I know yours? And even if I did, it wouldn’t give you the right to speak to me like this.”
Marc, a member of the renowned Crawford family, was unaccustomed to anyone treating him with such disdain. He had lived a life where flattery was the norm, and Ashton’s blunt rejection hit him like a slap in the face.
His face flushed with rage as he snapped back, “Who do you think you are? You deserve nothing more than my contempt!”
Ashton’s gaze remained cold, his patience completely gone. He let out a low chuckle, devoid of humor. “Who am I? I’m the one in charge of this company. I make the calls here. Since you refuse to leave, I’ll be the one to escort you out.”
Without further words, Ashton moved swiftly, grabbing Marc by the collar with the ease of a man brushing away a fly, lifting him effortlessly off the floor. In one motion, he tossed Marc out of the building, sending him tumbling through the entrance and into the open air, much to the shock of the onlookers.
Marc, who weighed nearly two hundred pounds, was stunned by how easily Ashton had dispatched him. He stood up, his face a mix of rage and humiliation, but he knew better than to challenge Ashton further. Fear and disbelief clouded his thoughts.
