Chapter 715
Chapter 715:
In a subdued tone, Jeremiah asked, “What are your thoughts on the flavor?”
The other two judges exchanged uneasy glances and replied, “Mr. Ashton, our scores might not align. Perhaps we should discuss?”
This unexpected turn of events sparked fresh talk among the spectators.
While the judges discussed the scores, the Figueroa brothers didn’t miss a chance to mock Malcom.
Brewster sneered, “Seems like your cooking didn’t impress, huh? Maybe they think the scores are embarrassingly low to announce!”
Covington added mockingly, “If I were you, I’d skip town after this and never look back. Who’d want to be the laughingstock every day?”
Esteban sneered, “Just give up, Malcom. The truth is clear. We’re the rightful heirs to the legacy of your father, Granville Deleon. You’re just dragging down the reputation of the brand he left you by trying to run the restaurant!”
As their mocking subsided, Jeremiah and the other judges finished their discussion.
Standing, Jeremiah announced with clarity, “Upon deliberation, we’ve unanimously decided on the score for the Skyline Restaurant team’s dishes. With a total of 93 points, the highest in this group, they advance to the semi-finals. Please join me in applauding their achievement!”
As Jeremiah’s voice echoed across the venue, announcing the results, the whole square descended into stunned silence. The air seemed heavy with disbelief, especially among those who had been eagerly waiting for Malcom and Ashton to fail.
Stephen and Marc exchanged uneasy glances. Their smug confidence dissolved as they struggled to hold back the biting remarks they had prepared.
The Figueroa brothers’ expressions shifted dramatically. The initial shock on their faces quickly gave way to fury.

“This can’t be happening!” Esteban burst out, his voice sharp and incredulous. “There’s no way they could’ve beaten us!”
From the audience, Marc shot to his feet, his frustration boiling over. “Are you serious right now? Those two took forever to present their dishes! And now they get the highest score? This is ridiculous!”
He jabbed an accusing finger toward Jeremiah. “You said you wouldn’t give him special treatment, but this? This is clearly rigged to get them into the semi-finals!”
A wave of discontent rippled through the crowd. Some, who had tasted Malcom’s cooking before, were vocal about their doubts upon hearing Jeremiah’s decision to award him a higher score than the Figueroa brothers.
“This doesn’t add up! How can Malcom get 93 points while the three Figueroa brothers, Staville’s celebrity chefs, only get 90? This has to be a setup!”
“Are we supposed to believe this wasn’t fixed? Why not just hand them the trophy already?”
Despite the uproar, Jeremiah remained composed. He had expected backlash and was ready to defend his decision.
“Enough! I understand your concerns,” he began, his tone steady but authoritative. “But let me explain my decision.” He gestured toward the dishes on display. “Although the Skyline Restaurant team exceeded the time limit, the quality of their work was unmatched. Their dishes incorporated thirteen distinct ingredients and utilized intricate techniques that pushed the boundaries of this competition. That level of complexity and execution cannot be overlooked.”
