Chapter 781
Chapter 781:
Ashton shook his head. “No need. I actually feel quite well now. Perhaps the strong feminine energy helped stabilize my internal energies. I’ve even managed to absorb a good amount of the raging force that was overwhelming me, and my Vital Energy seems significantly enhanced.”
Abrial wasn’t sure what Ashton meant by Vital Energy, but she was relieved to hear he felt fine.
Just then, a soft breeze entered through the window, making Abrial shiver as she realized she was completely nude in Ashton’s presence.
Although they had been intimate the previous night, Ashton had been unconscious. Now, feeling his occasional glances, Abrial was flooded with embarrassment.
Gathering her courage, Abrial pushed Ashton firmly and declared, “If you’re fine, then leave. I need to rest a bit more. Don’t disturb me today!”
Acknowledging the delicate nature of their situation, Ashton recognized the need for both of them to have space and time to reflect.
Without further words, he dressed and exited the room, pondering how to navigate his relationships with Abrial and Rosalie moving forward.
Just as Ashton left the office, his phone rang. It was his mentor, Gustave.
Upon answering, Gustave’s voice burst through with excitement. “Ashton, you’re really awake! I can’t believe that method actually worked! I thought that young lady would be the one to answer the phone, and I intended to ask her about your condition, but seeing you awake is even better. Hurry to Leonardo’s place. Leonardo and Hamlin have handed me their Glorious Heritage, and I think I’ve figured something out!”
When Ashton heard that Gustave had uncovered new information about the Glorious Heritage, he wasted no time. After making sure he was in good shape, Ashton went straight to Leonardo’s home, following the address Gustave had provided.
Unlike the grand estates of the Carter and Crawford families, Leonardo, despite his wealth amounting to billions, chose to live in the employee dormitory of his pharmaceutical factory rather than a villa or manor.

The dormitory buildings, though visibly old, were well-maintained. The neat and clean surroundings hinted that Leonardo had likely been living there since the humble beginnings of his business.
Ashton stood in the courtyard for a moment, glancing at the simple setup. Seeing Leonardo’s modest lifestyle stirred an unexpected unease in him, a flicker of hesitation in his resolve to destroy the Miller family.
After all, Ashton’s original plan had been to prevent the three major families from controlling Staville. But now, as he observed Leonardo, he began to wonder if he had acted too hastily, knowing too little about the people he was determined to fight. What caught Ashton further off guard was the sight of Gustave comfortably seated in the courtyard. Leonardo, despite his wealth and status, appeared to be serving Gustave with unwavering respect and hospitality, as though he were Gustave’s subordinate.
Gustave, leisurely munching on cookies, lit up the moment he spotted Ashton. Tossing the cookies aside, he strode over and gave Ashton a firm, almost aggressive pat on the arm.
