“Ask Selena?” Jenna didn’t quite catch Ashton’s suggestion initially.
It was only when a soft moan escaped Selena’s lips that Jenna realized Selena’s pallor was beginning to fade. Not only that, but moments after Ashton had removed the needles, Selena’s long eyelashes began to flutter, and she slowly opened her eyes, her body trembling faintly.
“Where am I?” Selena murmured groggily.
Jenna, both startled and relieved, responded quickly, “Selena, we’re still at school. You passed out suddenly. It scared me to death! How do you feel now? Should I take you to the hospital for a check-up?”
Recalling what had happened before she fainted, Selena offered a gentle smile and replied, “No need, I’m feeling a lot better now.”
Jenna, reassured, embraced Selena with excitement.
That was when Selena noticed Ashton standing behind Jenna, offering a reassuring smile.
Realizing his role in her recovery, she broke free from Jenna’s hug and approached Ashton, embracing him. “Ashton, thank you! You came to my rescue again, didn’t you?” she exclaimed joyfully.
Ashton, taken aback by her hug, tensed up and looked away, nodding awkwardly in confirmation.
Selena noticed Ashton behaving unusually. She was on the verge of asking what was bothering him when a sudden chill made her shiver.
It was then that she realized her clothes had shifted during the treatment, leaving her somewhat exposed as she pressed against Ashton.
Her face flushed a deep red, and her heartbeat sped up.
Yet, she wasn’t upset. Instead, she gently nudged Ashton aside and murmured shyly, “Ashton, could you look away for a moment? I need to adjust my clothes.” Ashton complied immediately.

Nearby, Jenna, who knew Selena well, had never witnessed her being so bashful or so intimate with any man.
She finally understood that Ashton had been truthful all along and that she had misjudged him.
Recognizing her mistake, Jenna approached Ashton and bowed in apology.
“Mr. Baldwin, I owe you an apology. I wasn’t aware you and Selena were this close. Initially, I questioned your motives and spoke harshly. I even interfered with your attempts to assist Selena. I’m truly sorry!”
Understanding that Jenna’s actions stemmed from her concern for Selena, Ashton found her caution justified.
After all, she did come around to assist eventually. He nodded and offered a forgiving smile, accepting her apology.
Just then, Fraser, who had been waiting outside the group of girls, overheard Selena’s voice.
Realizing she was awake, he made his way through the onlookers and reached her.
Selena had just straightened her attire when she turned to find Fraser wearing his typical charming smile.
He looked at her with genuine concern and asked, “It’s such a relief to see you awake, Selena. I’ve been so worried. How are you feeling now? Would you like me to take you to the hospital?”
Ashton, overhearing this, couldn’t help but smirk to himself.
Fraser knew how to step in at the right moment to play the hero.
