“How did you let a beta get you pregnant? That is exactly what I’m worried about,” he said.

“Well, we tried to kill that cursed girl five years ago, and Luna Vivienne. When she came back, the beta who helped us threatened to tell Adrian if I didn’t have s*x with him. So I had no other choice but to give in to his demands before killing him afterward. I kept it from Luna Vivienne, but it was all to be loved by Christian.”

“I thought it was a secret only I would know about, but I had no idea that slave, that cursed girl, knew about it. I had no idea she placed a spy in the mansion and knew everything.”

“Adding to that, dad, she also knows that I killed Beta Adrian. I’m sure she has some sort of backup, and she might not be an easy opponent,” I said.

“Leave everything to me, Sheela. I want to assure you that what they’ve done won’t go unpunished. I will make sure every one of them pays for humiliating you. They will all pay with their lives, and we will start with that cursed girl you mentioned. Since she is the cause of all this, I will make her pay with her life,” he said.

“Alpha!” one of the guards said, rushing in.

“Luna Vivienne is here to see you,” he said.

“Let her in,” I quickly said before my dad could say a word.

Luna Vivienne’s POV

I paced restlessly, waiting for Alpha Gotham to show up. I would see Sheela once the meeting with him was over.

“You’re here, Luna Vivienne. How may I help you?” he asked, walking toward me with Sheela behind him.

“Yes, I came to see you about what happened earlier today. I’m glad Sheela is here with you,” I said, staring at her. She rolled her eyes and placed her hands on her hips.

“Why are you even here?” Sheela sneered. “You were there when your son humiliated me with that cursed girl, but you did nothing about it. And now you have the guts to show up here. I should have you humiliated as well.” She glared at me with disdain.

“You shouldn’t blame me for that,” I responded, my voice calm but firm. “Are you forgetting that this whole situation took me by surprise? I couldn’t do anything but watch as the whole drama unfolded. I considered you not only my daughter-in-law, but I saw you as my daughter. I did everything I could to support you, but you couldn’t trust me. How could you expect me to defend you when everything, and I mean everything, was a complete surprise to me?” I said, trying not to raise my voice. I needed to win her father’s favor, and Sheela was the key to that.

“Enough!” Alpha Gotham interjected, his tone stern. “You can both sort that out when you’re alone. What are you here for, Luna Vivienne? Are you here to plead for your son or give my daughter false hope?”

“I’m here to plead on behalf of my son. He has committed a grave sin, and he did this because he was influenced by that damned girl. He wouldn’t have acted this way if she hadn’t corrupted his mind. He doesn’t know what he’s doing; he’s just blinded by the foolish feelings he has for that cursed girl,” I said, my voice steady, trying to appeal to their better judgment.

It was time to move with more force. Now that Alpha Mico knew Sheela was his daughter, he would do anything to protect her. I might not have the chance to make a move against her if things continued as they were.

But Alpha Gotham is a man of his world, one who would do anything to destroy anyone he wishes. He is blinded by rage, and I will use that to my advantage. All I have to do is make Amira the cause of all this, and the rest will be history.
