Chapter 2
Chapter 2:
Terror flooded my eyes as I looked up at him. That was the worst thing that could happen in the presence of your enemy—terror in your eyes. It fed them, giving them the confidence and strength to oppress you even further.
“Hahaha,” he laughed, amused by my fear. He was literally getting off on this—the bastard. He towered over me, but I saw an opening right under his arm. As I tried to make a run for it, I stumbled on the wool rug that covered the floor. My tiny toe caught on a loose thread, and I tripped, falling hard to the ground.
Without wasting any more time, he climbed over me, eager to have me on the floor, to scar me and make me his victim for life. The fight in me was fading as his hands reached for the buttons on my maid uniform.
He ripped and tore at my clothes, despite my struggling hands. He slapped me across the face, demanding I stay still, but I just couldn’t comply. He even grabbed my throat multiple times, choking off my cries for help.
How many times had he tried to touch me against my will? Ever since he and Alpha Christian had found me lying in the forest, wounded, I had become a target for every soldier in the pack. Worse yet, the other maids, including the Head of Maids, revered me.
She revered me so much that she threw me into their arms, and I became prey in the camp of lecherous predators.
Even now, as my arms weakened and I struggled to fight back, my claws, though weak, scratched across his face, catching his left eye and leaving a scathing mark. But he remained relentless and unwavering.
I was cursed to never find love, never be accepted, and always be rejected. This was one of the prices I had to pay. Slowly, my eyes began to close, my strength drained. I could no longer fight. When his hands found my tights and ripped them apart, I knew it was over. This was the worst of it.
Then, suddenly, I heard a coarse growl, a hoarse voice filled with venom and hate.

“How dare you?!” the voice demanded, dripping with viciousness.
In one swift move, Gamma Adrian was lifted off me.
My vision was blurry, but I could see Alpha Christian land a punch to his stomach. It might have ruptured his spleen or spine, or perhaps just sent a wave of pain throughout his body. Through half-closed eyes, I saw blood streaming down Adrian’s nose and mouth.
Alpha Christian didn’t stop; he continued to strike. I saw him grab Adrian’s throat, his intent clear—he wanted to kill him. Murder shone in his eyes, and I wished I could get up to plead for Adrian’s life, but my throat ached from the blows I had received from Gamma Adrian.
“Let me go! What did I do wrong anyway?!” Adrian coughed as he staggered to his feet. “What gave you the right to lay your filthy hands on her? What?!”
