Chapter 44
Chapter 44:
“Respect? You came to this pack first as a maid, and you managed to make my son fall in love with your cursed self back then. Now you’re here, pretending to help him, only to bring him down again. What happened to him wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t bring you here out of pity.”
“But as expected, whoever is cursed is already cursed. I’m sure everyone close to you abandoned you because of the fact that you’ve been cursed from birth.”
“I wouldn’t want to get on Mr. Mico’s bad side, so I want you to do yourself a favor and get back to his pack. Tell him you can’t stay here anymore, and I’ll let you be,” she said.
“I see you are still scared of my dad. That’s a good thing, Luna Vivienne. I’m here to help you guys, but if you see me as a threat, then discuss it with your son and my dad. That will be all,” I said, trying to walk away.
“Get back here. I’m still talking to you!” she yelled, making me smile.
“If you don’t want your son to fall for me, then try closing his eyes… and also…”
“It takes someone with a bigger curse to recognize another person with a curse,” I said, making her widen her eyes in shock.
“I’m sure you caused a disaster to your parents, that’s why they abandoned you. And very soon, Mr. Mico will be the next person to abandon you! I will do whatever it takes to separate you from him, you cursed girl,” she ranted as I walked up to my room.
“I wish you the very best, Luna Vivienne,” I said nonchalantly before taking the stairs to my room.
This is going to be a war, but I didn’t come here to banter words with them. I came to help Christian because he has been good to me in the past and also to teach Adrian a lesson he would never forget.
Once I achieve those two things, then I can leave in peace and might even try to focus on matters that are important to me at the moment.
Luna Vivienne’s POV

I couldn’t sleep a wink as I thought about how I could teach that little vixen a lesson she would never forget. All she has brought is trouble. But Christian, on the other hand, doesn’t take note of the little things going on around him. He shouldn’t have brought her into this mansion in the first place, but he never listens.
Now she is here again, ready to ruin him just like she did in the past. But I won’t let that happen again. I will do everything I can to stop it. Christian is my son, and he ought to listen to me and no one else.
As for that cursed girl, I will make her do something that will provoke Mr. Mico to disown her and send her out of that pack. She’ll be homeless once again. That’s how she’s meant to be — hopeless and helpless. She doesn’t deserve happiness, and I will make sure she never gets any. She shouldn’t have shown up here after surviving the attack. Showing up here again is a mistake that will end her life.
I will make sure I see her dead body this time around.
“Good morning, Luna,” Adrian greeted as he walked into my room. I was a bit startled because I didn’t hear him knock.
“I actually knocked but walked myself in when there was no response from you,” he said, as if he had read my mind.
