“Yes, we’ve rejoiced in this, but now we need to work on Christian. We need to make him fall for you.”
“Yes, but how do I achieve that?”
“It’s easy. Do everything you can as a woman and get pregnant by him. Once that happens, you’ll become the new Luna of the Moonlight Pack. Once you’re pregnant with his heir, he’ll be forced to claim you.”
“And I know my son. He’s quite responsible, and he will take responsibility for both you and the child. Taking responsibility means you’re automatically his Luna.”
“And to speed things up, I’m going to meet with your father so they can bring the issue before him during their meetings. He will be desperate and will have no choice but to turn back to you. Your job is just to play your part as a woman. I’m not going to teach you that, though, because I expect you to understand better than anyone else.” She gave me a knowing look.
“Are you suggesting that I seduce him?” I asked.
“You are a woman. If seducing him is the only option you have, then do it and achieve what you want. It’s better than waiting for him to love you when he doesn’t seem like he will any time soon.”
Adrian’s POV
I tried to move my hand, but I groaned in pain. The aches in my back were enough to kill me, and I realized I was tied to a chair this whole time without even noticing it.
“Where am I?” I asked, not really directing the question to anyone, as I surveyed the untidy place. It looked like an abandoned storage space, with all sorts of little creatures crawling around gracefully.
“You are awake.” I heard a masculine voice.
“I need water,” I said instead.
I’m going to teach Sheela a lesson once I get out of here, and I’m sure Luna Vivienne is well aware of this as well. I will make those two women regret ever knowing me—that’s a promise.
“I’m not sure you’ll be getting a drop, young man,” the man said, smirking.
“Who are you and what do you want from me? Is this the best way you take care of an injured man? The least you could have done as a fellow wolf is take care of my injury before you tied me up.” I gritted my teeth in pain.
“You should be glad you’re still alive to say all sorts of nonsense,” he said. “And I’m sure it would stop once your tongue is pulled out, along with your injured back.”
Fear surged through me at his words.
“Don’t worry, we’ll do that once we get the information we need from you,” he added. “For now, you don’t have to be scared. Just save your breath until our boss arrives. She’ll be the one to decide your fate.”
“Who are you working with? Is it Sheela or Luna Vivienne? Tell me, which one of them is your boss?” I asked desperately.
“Did they ask you to tie me up like this? Tell me which one of them it is!” I yelled.
“Can’t you take your guessing game a little higher?” I heard a familiar voice.
