Chapter 84
Chapter 84:
“Oh…” I said softly. “Can you tell me a little about her?”
This was something he never talked about, but I had a strong feeling that today I would hear a bit of it. I had a strong feeling that I would.
“She looks almost like Emily. She is the most selfless and beautiful woman I have ever seen. She is confident and independent as well. She is the definition of a woman any man would desire.
“At first, I fell for her beauty, but through her, I got to know that there are a whole lot of things attached to being beautiful, and she had all the good things attached to it. That made me a proud husband. Together, we built the pack and made it what it is today. We built the pack with love, care, and benevolence, so here are the results.”
“This is more reason why you should do the same so your name can remain in history as one of the alphas who brought peace and development to the pack,” he said.
“I will do that. But, Dad, how did she die?” I asked, curious.
“Aurora died when she couldn’t bear the pain of losing her newborn infant,” he said quietly.
“She had our daughter, and due to our negligence, she went missing the same day she was born. We searched everywhere for her, but we couldn’t find her.”
“Aurora, who was once a lively woman, became moody. She had a health challenge all because of the pain of losing our daughter. She died when she couldn’t bear the pain anymore.”
“I chose to remain single ever since, as a sign of my loyalty to my wife. I made a promise to her on her grave. I will only die peacefully when I find our daughter,” he said, his voice heavy with emotion.
It was a painful story, but how is it possible for an infant to get lost in a hospital? Things weren’t adding up.
“I will do whatever it takes to find her,” I said firmly.

“Just focus on the pack and the company. All I ask of you is to make the right choice of the woman you want, because that will also determine how far you will go in life and how well you develop yourself.”
“Making the wrong choice will land you in a pit you might never be lucky to come out of, so make your choice wisely,” he said.
“How about Emily, Dad? Is she a good choice?” I asked before I could stop myself.
“Emily is a good woman, and truth be told, she has all it takes to be a Luna. She is also a good leader. But don’t forget this: she has a mind of her own, a past that can no longer be ignored. But then, if she chooses to accept you, I have no problem with that. However, to be on the safe side, make sure she is the one to make the decision.”
“Don’t force her into doing what she doesn’t want. The cheerful woman you see today can turn into a vicious one once you make her do something she doesn’t want to do.”
“No matter what, I want you to let her make her own choices so things go well for you,” he said, getting up.
“Thanks for your words, Dad. I will keep them well and will not take anyone for granted,” I said with a smile.
He slowly patted my shoulders before walking away, leaving me to think.
