Chapter 95
Chapter 95:
“And to top it all off, I finally found a family who considers me a blessing rather than a curse. It gives me great joy every moment I realize they’re there, ready to fight for me.”
“I’m glad you did. I’m happy you found happiness despite everything you’ve been through. But I know you must be angry with me because it all started here,” she said, wiping the tears that were threatening to fall.
“It started here, but I need you to understand that it wasn’t my fault. I only did what I had to. I followed what was written on the paper you were brought with,” she said.
“Well, you don’t have to beat yourself up. I came here for something else.”
“I think it’s time I find out more about myself. Considering that I grew up here, this is the best place to get the answers I’ve been dying to hear.”
“I want to know how I was brought here and why I was considered a curse ever since I was little. You are in the best position to give me answers,” I said, swallowing hard.
“You were barely a month old when you were brought here. I must confess, you’ve always been beautiful all your life, and I, along with the other helpers here, fell for your beauty at first. But we were told that you had a note attached to you when they found you at a refuse dump.”
“We thought your name would be written on that piece of paper, but instead, we saw a message that changed everything. The message made us shift from being kind to being wicked.”
“In the paper, I guess your biological parents left you because they believed you were cursed. According to them, everything good they did for you kept backfiring, turning into evil, so they abandoned you because of that. The paper is old, but I made sure to keep it safe for a day like today,” she said, opening her drawer and handing the paper to me.
“That’s what changed everything,” she added.
“Can you show me the place where I was left?” I asked after staring at the paper for a while, with tears gathering in my eyes.

“That’s the way to my house. I’ll take you there,” she said, getting up.
Sheela’s POV
I watched Christian from where I stood as he paced around restlessly. It was already very late at night, and his lover still hadn’t returned. I hoped she wouldn’t come back from wherever she was.
The door opened, revealing Amira, the one I thought would die, and I couldn’t help but hiss. Just when I was planning to go over there, comfort him, and maybe share a bed with him, she ruined everything—like always.
“You’re back. What took you so long? Are you okay?” he asked, hugging her tightly as soon as he noticed the sorrowful expression on her face.
It was as if she had just received a heartbreak, but it was a good thing she was sad.
Our eyes met for a moment, and the next thing she did was something I just couldn’t withstand. She had the audacity to kiss him, fully knowing I was right there.
Sheela’s POV
I stormed into my room, breaking everything I could reach, wishing each shattered piece was Amira. But, of course, they remained just objects, not that godforsaken cursed girl.
