Chapter 1071

Denny coldly stated, "When I say you are mentally ill, that's final."

Upon hearing that, Laslo furrowed his brows and sported a troubled look. "I'm not sick, Mr. Rouse. I'm perfectly healthy."

Denny's face fell, exuding an intimidating presence as he asked, "Wasn't it me who got you the job as the security captain, Laslo?"

Laslo was taken aback. He certainly got the job because of Denny. They used to be schoolmates, and that was how he ended up in this position.

Looking at Denny, Laslo felt hesitant with his words.

As he was zoning out, Denny followed up with another question. "Say something, Laslo. I hooked you up with such a great job, don't you have anything to say?"

Realizing Denny's tone was a bit off, Laslo quickly responded, "You're the reason I got this job. Without your help, there's no way I'd have landed such a good position."

Truth be told, Laslo really liked the job as the security captain at the hospital. He got to enjoy the benefits of having insurance, a bunch of perks, and a healthcare discount as an employee.

Being a security guard here was much better than in other places. However, it also came with a drawback-Denny always bossed him around, giving him many errands to do.

Denny always made Laslo buy breakfast, get cigarettes, and deliver packages. To make matters worse, Denny even had him deliver condoms at midnight. But he put up with it for the job.

Things got totally out of hand after that. Denny started using him as a hired thug. That was the last straw for him.

After getting into a fight, Laslo was shaken for a long while because it was hard to pull his punches. In particular, when things got heated, it was easy to go too far and seriously hurt his opponents. Then, he'd be looking at jail time.

Laslo made a promise to himself. If Denny made him beat up someone, he'd turn it down.

Denny snorted. "You're not that dumb. At least you realize who got you this job. I'll fill you in about what's going to happen today.

"Here's the mental disorder diagnosis for each of you. Even though you're all healthy, you're all considered medically ill from the legal perspective. If you end up seriously hurting or even killing someone, you won't face criminal charges."

Upon hearing that, Laslo was shocked, gaping at Denny. His thinking was truly out of the box. He had come up with a way to avoid facing criminal charges.

But Laslo still didn't want to be Denny's goon. He just hadn't figured out how to say it.

Denny pulled out the second mental disorder diagnosis and handed it to the nearby security guard. "Here's some good news for you all. My family has taken over the hospital outpatient building.

"It's all set and just going through the paperwork now. I'll be the boss from here on out. My family is in charge of the nurse station and medical supply at the hospital.

"As long as you all work hard and listen to me, I promise everyone will get a raise and better benefits."

Denny's dad suggested giving the security guards a pay raise. It all started when he had some trouble with rival contractors over the outpatient building contract.

He raised the guard's pay so they'd be ready to step in when the time came.

The other security guards were all smiling as they took the mental disorder report, thanking Danny over and over. They didn't care at all since the papers were fake and would help them avoid any trouble.

Denny handed the mental disorder diagnosis to everyone, then pointed at the yard with the "medicine, sign, instructing. When you get inside, beat up anyone you see and break whatever you can find.

"No matter what trouble comes up, it won't affect you. I've got you covered."

Everyone reacted differently to Denny's command. Some looked worried, while others just frowned and said nothing.

Those trying to get on Denny's good side all agreed. "Rest assured, Mr. Rouse. You can count on me to smash this place into ruins."

"I've got a violent streak, but I've been holding it back. With the mental disorder diagnosis, I finally get to let off some steam."

"I'm mentally unstable. If anyone rubs me the wrong way, I'll take them down."

The guards started stretching and cracking their knuckles, looking like they were about to jump into action.

Watching everything go down, Laslo couldn't bring himself to turn Denny down. With the diagnosis, he figured he could get away with anything ever erippling some He decided to be Denny's muscle one last time.

Denny was pleased with the support he got. He pointed at the "medicine" sign in the

yard and commanded, "Charge!"
