Chapter 937
To Timothy, Melissa was everything he could dream of.
Standing at five foot three, a curvy figure, exquisite features, and an exceptionally sweet voice, she was irresistible. While others might think she was a bit overweight, he didn't. He thought her figure was perfect, with all her curves in the right places, exuding undeniable allure.
He had once fantasized about a nurse like that-dressed in a uniform that hugged her voluptuous figure, humming softly in a sweet, melodic voice. It was utterly captivating.
A few days ago, he had restrained himself as he was worried that Brian might have an eye on her as well. Making a move could risk offending Brian.
However, now that Brian had openly supported him in pursuing those nurses, he felt no need to hold back anymore.
He headed briskly to the fourth floor of the inpatient ward. As he approached the nurses' station, he asked, "Is work busy today?"
The nurse on duty smiled and replied, "Not really."
Timothy smiled back and asked, "Where are the other nurses?"
The nurse pointed toward the operating room. "A patient was brought in earlier. It seems he was diagnosed with a liver issue during a school checkup a few days ago. He has just been taken into surgery."
Timothy frowned. "Has the surgery begun?"
The nurse shook her head. "They just went in, so I don't think it has started yet."
Upon hearing that, Timothy briskly made his way to the operating room. From a distance, he caught sight of Melissa and greeted her cheerfully, "Has the surgery started yet?"
Melissa halted in her tracks at the sight of him. "Not yet, Timothy."
Timothy couldn't help but focus on her attractive face and radiant smile. His fingers flexed instinctively as a sudden urge to act rose within him.
Thankfully, he managed to keep his rationality intact. Suppressing the thoughts stirring in his mind, he smiled and asked, "How many nurses are assisting in the operating room?"
Unaware of Timothy's true purpose, Melissa responded with a friendly grin, "Three, including me."
Hearing her sweet voice, Timothy's heart suddenly started racing. "Two will be enough. Come with me to the office. I have something important to tell you."
Melissa hummed in response. "I'll deliver the medication and be right out."
Timothy nodded. "I'll be here waiting for you." Watching Melissa walk away and her hips sway with each step, he suddenly felt his throat go dry.
Inwardly, he reminded himself to stay patient. After all, good things came to those who waited. Just ten more minutes, and once Melissa was in his office, he could do whatever he wanted.
Before long, Melissa returned. She smiled and asked, "Dr. Fern, is there something you need me for?"
Timothy smiled as he replied, "What do you think?"
Melissa's face instantly changed. She looked at Timothy nervously and asked, "Is my internship being terminated because someone reported on me?"
Timothy had been trying to figure out how to approach Melissa, but he didn't expect this opportunity to fall into his lap.
He smiled and said, "Regardless of what conflict you've had with the patient, don't be afraid. I'm here to back you up. Go ahead and tell me what happened."
Thinking she had found someone to
support her, Melissa explained
eagerly, "Here's what happened. I
f
was setting up an IV drip for the patient but the needle slipped. A
large blister formed on the patient's
hand. The

good care of the patient, so they filed a complaint."
Timothy thought it was something serious, but it turned out to be such a trivial matter. With a serious expression, he said "Let's go to my office get to the bottom oft and make sure you get justice,
The two chatted as they walked and soon arrived at Timothy's office. Since the door was unlocked, he
pushed it open and gestured for Melissa to go in first. He then shut the door behind him.
Hearing the door close, Melissa felt uneasy and asked, "Why did you close the
door?"
