Chapter 965
Matthew slowly withdrew his hand and fixed his cold gaze on Francis. "Quit acting friendly. Just answer my question. Do you think I earn more than 350 thousand dollars a month?"
Francis diffidently responded, "Y-Yes. You earn way more than that. I only make 350 thousand dollars a month, and you charge 20 million dollars for curing one patient. Even the total income of all the doctors here still doesn't compare to yours."
Matthew sternly stated, "If that's the case, you know what to do. Just head to the toilet and eat shit."
Francis' expression was paled with embarrassment. He stammered, "I-I was wrong, Mr. Grant. You're incredible at medicine, like a miracle doctor.
"With my medical skills, I don't even deserve to be in the same conversation as you. Let me off the hook, please."
Matthew coldly responded, "I'm not a pushover, so I can't just let you go. Do what you need in the restroom."
Francis kicked himself so hard for that. If he had known Matthew was a miracle doctor in Lambda City, he'd never dared to underestimate the local traditional medicine practitioner.
In truth, after Casper came back from the treatment, he told Francis about his brain hemorrhage, and that Francis had a 50% chance of getting one too. So, Francis would probably need Matthew's help for treatment as well.
Francis knew he couldn't afford to offend Matthew. With a grim expression, he paused for a moment before dropping to his knees.
He looked up and fixed his gaze on Matthew. "I know I was wrong. I apologize. My medical skills are nothing compared to yours. I'm not even in the same league as you."
Carson was shocked by every moment he spent with Matthew. One surprise after another kept coming-Matthew's income, Francis admitting his mistake and apologizing, and then Francis dropping to his knees.
Every one of them shocked him to the core.
Carson gazed at Matthew, his eyes filled with awe and curiosity. Who was Matthew? He'd never heard of Matthew before. It'd be awesome if he got to study medicine under him.
Carson was lost in thought when Matthew suddenly called out to him. "Are you Carson?"
He was exhilarated. "D-Do you know me?"
He didn't expect a mysterious, skilled doctor would actually know his name.
It was like nobody had ever won the jackpot in all the years of lottery. Then, somehow, he bought a ticket and hit the big one.
Matthew waved his hand. "This isn't the right place for you. Let's leave."
Carson hummed in acknowledgment. He was so happy that his mind went completely blank, and he made his way over to Matthew in a daze.
Francis watched Matthew leave, feeling worried. Did Francis offend Matthew this time? If he ended up sick like Casper, would Matthew treat him?
The other doctors had never heard of a doctor charging 20 million dollars for a
consultation. That might just be the highest level a doctor could achieve.
Everyone was beyond shocked, watching Matthew leave without saying a word. The room went completely quiet.
After Matthew left the place with
Carson, he cut to the chase and told
Carson his objective. "I need to talk
to your
about something, but this
isn't the right place. Let's chat outside Skywisp Hotel."
Carson hurriedly nodded. "Alright. Sure."
As they went down to the bottom floor, Carson kept wondering what this was all about.
After leaving the hotel, Carson couldn't hold back and asked, "What do you need from me, Mr. Grant?"
Matthew stopped in his tracks. "I'm here to retrieve Five Integrations of Traditional and Modern Medicine."
Out of the Eight Medical Sects,
Matthew had collected all the
medical books and legacy items,
except for those from the Harmona
Sect. So, he was pretty excited about it.
Five Integrations of Traditional and Modern Medicine? Carson was taken aback.
Why would a miracle doctor set his eyes on this book?
Carson was dying to know why, but he held back from asking. After all, they had just
met, so they weren't close enough to talk about everything yet.
After a brief silence, Carson apologetically smiled and responded, "Sorry. Even though helped me, Five Integrations of Traditional and Modern Medicine
don't belong to me
78UT
I can't hand it to
you."
