Matthew set Five Integrations of Traditional and Modern Medicine and Crimson Gold Token on the table and slid it right in front of Ansel.

Ansel put his cup down and flipped through the medical book. Then, he put it aside and picked up Crimson Gold Token. He checked the front before flipping it over to look at the back.

"It turns out that the most precious item for Harmona Sect is Crimson Gold Token."

Matthew was on the same page. "You feel the same way as well?"

Ansel nodded. "Five Integrations of Traditional and Modern Medicine talks about various medical knowledge, but the traditional medicine segment is the most precious.

"The modern medicine part is super outdated. With how advanced technology is now, it's just way behind."

Matthew had noticed this long ago. "When I came across that book, I couldn't stop myself from being in awe of the traditional medicine handed down to us. After thousands of years, the principles of traditional medicine are still eternal. They're always correct.

"The remedies in it are still great for curing diseases and saving lives. But when you look at modern medicine from 200 years ago, it seems primitive and useless."

Ansel remarked, "I watched a short video today, and it said humans are just lab rats being tested by smarter beings. There are just too many unbelievable things.

"The video made an analogy. Imagine you're walking in the wilderness and find a phone, would you think it grew out of the ground?"

Matthew furrowed his brows. They were talking about the Harmona Sect's medical knowledge, and now they were on the topic of human origin.

But he still went along. "A phone has such an intricate design. How would it sprout out of nowhere?"

Ansel continued. "Humans are a thousand times more complex than a phone. Look at the human eye. It's a finely tuned optical device, and the craziest part is that it's alive. It takes in nutrients, grows, and ages over time.

"Besides the eyes, we have our stomach. It digests food and absorbs nutrients. As we eat when we're hungry, the stomach is just like the phone battery, needing to recharge its energy.

"The human body is more sophisticated than a phone. Phones just don't grow out of the ground, so how did humans just come out of the earth?"

Matthew was taken aback. He remarked without a second thought, "No way humans just appeared out of the ground."

After saying that, Matthew was stunned for a moment. He hadn't thought about it before, and the question had him lost in thought.

Could there really be a creator? Was the creator a god or a highly intelligent being?

Ansel added, "Humans didn't just pop out of thin air on earth. How about traditional medicine? Just the idea of meridians alone is mysterious.

"Even with all the high-tech equipment, like microscopes and X-rays, we still can't explain how meridians work. How did the people in the past discover meridians and come up with traditional medicine?"

Matthew snapped out of his

thoughts. "What are you trying to say? Are you suggesting that a

creator or a god discovered

traditional medicine and passed it. down to us? So, even centuries from now, the principles and remedies of traditional medicine will still be valid."

Ansel nodded. "Yes. That's exactly what I meant."

Matthew knitted his brows together, his mind racing with thoughts. He'd never heard

of anything like this before, so it was mind-blowing.

But when he really thought about it, everything sort of added up. For example, in modern medicine, what was once the best treatment was now considered wrong with all the advancements in technology.

A few hundred years ago, modern medicine believed that humans had endless blood. But after blood circulation was discovered, that idea was proven totally wrong.

They used to believe bloodletting could treat diseases, and historical figures died from it. In this day and age, this was truly ridiculous.

For instance, ten years ago, people thought getting an IV drip was the fastest and most effective treatment for a cold. Whenever anyone had a cold on fever, the first thing they'd think of was getting an w antibiotics.

This approach was the common belief shared by doctors, patients, and even society as a whole. But over time, people started to realize that getting an IV with antibiotics could bring a lot of harm to body.

The right way was to physically lower the temperature and trigger the immune system with medications to fight off the cold virus, allowing the body to fight it and heal on its own.

Modern medicine was all about constantly discovering new technologies, proving they were flawed before upgrading them.

Only traditional medicine had been around for thousands of years without the need to be corrected or updated.

In that sense, it wasn't crazy to think that traditional medicine came from the creator.
