"Stop teasing me!" Rachel's playful, shy voice came through the phone.

Tracy rolled her eyes, secretly jealous of how intimate Matthew was with Rachel.

"She just told you to stop. That's how much you mean to her," she whispered mockingly, her voice barely audible.

Matthew's lips curled into a mischievous smile as he kept his eyes on Tracy while speaking into the phone. "It's been so long since I've seen you. I was planning to come visit, but if that's how you feel, maybe I shouldn't."

There was silence on the other end, and Tracy whispered again, "Don't bother going. She doesn't really miss you."

Just as Matthew opened his mouth to respond, Rachel's voice cut through the silence. "Matthew, I do miss you. You have to come. I miss you so much... every part of me misses you."

Her voice grew increasingly softer, filled with an intimate warmth that made the air feel electric.

Tracy's face fell as if she'd been slapped. She could not believe this was the same Rachel who was usually so cold around men, speaking such intimate words.

"I'll be right there," Matthew said before hanging up. He waved his phone at Tracy. "Hear that? She misses me; every part of her misses me. Stop living in a fantasy." Tracy stood there, feeling as if her heart had been stabbed thousands of times by Rachel's words. The pain left her speechless and weak.

"Tracy, are you even clear about your own identity?" Matthew asked coldly.

Tracy bristled and snapped, "What does it matter to you? This isn't the 1950s. No one cares about that anymore."

"Do you think I care about your orientation?" Matthew fired back. "If you'd stay out of my relationship with Rachel, you could swing any way for all I care!"

Tracy gritted her teeth. "W-What are you implying about me?"

"If you're a woman interested in women, fine. If you're into men, go ahead. Either way, pick a lane," Matthew said bluntly.

Tracy was speechless. While society was more accepting now, these matters were still sensitive, and Matthew's direct confrontation left her fumbling for words.

You're... you're discriminating against same-sex relationships!" Tracy finally managed to sputter.

"I don't care who you love-that's your business," Matthew replied coldly. "But Rachel is my girlfriend, and you're trying to steal her That what disgusts me about you!"

With that, Matthew turned and walked toward Rachel's office, leaving Tracy standing there, her face flushed with humiliation. She could do nothing but glare after him, her pind racing with the memories. of Rachel and Matthew together.

The thought of Matthew holding Rachel, touching her, drove a dagger through her heart. She felt as if her whole world was falling apart.

As Matthew disappeared into Rachel's office, Tracy stood frozen by the elevator,

staring at the door. Her expression was grim, her thoughts spiraling.

Her mind raced as she figured out how to win Rachel back. The original plan to use Tessa to drive a wedge between Rachel and that bastard Matthew resurfaced in her thoughts-it seemed like her only option now.

The problem was that she could not reach Tessa―her calls were blocked, and

messages went unanswered. Tracy clenched her fists.

Only one option was left-she had to go to Tessa's house.
