Chapter 27 Truth or Dare

Aiden’s POVE

Bluewater Corporation just announced it was cutting all ties with the Midnight Pack.

Every time Raclyn got involved in something, it seemed like the Midnight Pack would end up in trouble.

Could Jackson be retaliating against Taylor on Raelyn’s behall?

I didn’t respond. My mind went back to when we were kids–how Taylor used to cry if she accidentally stepped on an ant. I lowered my voice. “I think, deep down, she’s not a bad person.”

Raelyn’s POV

Hearing Aiden still trying to defend Taylor made me feel like there was nothing left to say.

He doubted me. And now he was standing up for the two–faced b*tch who tried to ruin me.

Aiden really didn’t have the best judgment.

I stood up, my face calin and expressionless. “The crisis at the Midnight Pack is their own internal problem. And Bluewater Corporation’s decision to cancel their contracts has nothing to do with iur. If Mr. Salvatore insists on figuring out who’s behind it, maybe try culling the CEO of Bluewater instead of pointing fingers at one of your own employees.”

With that, I turned and walked away

I kept tossing back drinks, one after another. Pretty soon, I was feeling buzzed. That’s when Jackson suggested we play a round of truth or dare.

“Whoever it lands on has to go flirt with someone. Fail and it’s three shots.

-I was in a mood, so I agreed.

In the first round, Jackson lost. He walked right up to a female werewolf and, before long, came back with her number. Second round–the bottle pointed to me. I swayed to my feet and made my way over to a group of werewolves nearby.

Aiden’s POV:

I watched a gorgeous figure, tipsy and swaying, strut toward our group of werewolves.

She giggled softly, her delicate finger gliding through the air as she pointed among us, until finally landing on me. “You you’re the best–looking one. You’ll do.”

I stayed silent, watching her next move.

“Hey, handsome,” she said, voice teasing. “What do you think of me?”
