Chapter 1011
The camera caught Josefina laughing, "The next line has to be 'sweat dripping onto the soil.""
"Nope!"
"But it is, 'Ploughing the fields under the blazing sun, sweat dripping onto the soil,' isn't it?" Josefina asked, confused.
"The next line is 'Logan works so hard," Logan grumbled.
"Oh, right! Logan, sorry, my mind wandered," Josefina apologized.
Logan chuckled, "With that brain of yours, and you pretend to be my mentor? Ha, what a laugh."
Then Logan called out, "Luke, someone's trying to pass off as my mentor!"
Luke came rushing over, brandishing a small knife, "Who's the idiot pretending to be the boss? I'll deal with them!"
The call was abruptly cut on the other end.
Logan sent Josefina a video call, and she answered.
Logan was all smiles, "You really are my mentor."
Luke recounted the story, and though Josefina was upset, she spoke softly, "Logan, you handled it beautifully, really well."
She gave Logan a big thumbs up.
"Mentor, that person might look like you, but she's way too weak to be my mentor!" Logan said proudly.
Oliver, who was behind the wheel, overheard and glanced at Josefina's phone. Logan's goofy grin sparked a hint of jealousy in Oliver.
Josie was beaming at him so warmly and brightly-couldn't Logan find someone else to look up to? Why did he have to pick Oliver's wife?
Oliver chimed in, "Hey hon, we're here."
Josefina was caught off guard by the sudden address. It was awkward!
Quickly, she said, "I've got to take care of some things, Luke, keep an eye on Logan. Logan, be good, okay?"
She hung up, still getting used to being called Oliver's wife, especially in front of her friends it was so awkward, tổ
"Oliver, next time when we're with my friends, just call me Josie, okay?"
As Oliver parked the car, he seemed puzzled, "Calling you my wife isn't embarrassing. Josie, why can't I?"
"It's not about being embarrassed, it's just awkward."
"You're my wife, and that's a fact you need to get used to."
He got out, opened her door, and took her hand as they walked inside.
In the private room, Brandon was buzzing with excitement. Sitting next to him was a middle-aged man who shared his features it was clear they were family.
Next to the man was a well-dressed woman, and beside her sat their son and daughter.
Brandon was overwhelmed, "Cole, you're finally back. This is amazing, truly amazing."
Rowan, on Brandon's right, watched his long-lost brother, as old memories slowly came back to life.
Cole's eyes were misty as he thought about the past, feeling a bit ashamed.
"Dad, I was too stubborn back then. I'm sorry."
Brandon patted his shoulder, "What's done is done. I never thought I'd see you ağam. Cole, just having you back is enough.
At that moment, Oliver pushed the door open.
Brandon grinned, introducing, "Cole, this is your nephew Oliver, and that's your niece-in-law Josefina."
Oliver held Josefina's hand as they sat down, leaving a couple of chairs between him and Rowan.
Rowan's face fell briefly, but he quickly composed himself.
Oliver said, "Cole, welcome back."
Josefina smiled warmly, "Cole, it's great to have you back."
Cole smiled reflectively, "When I left, you weren't even born. And now, look at Dorian's kids, all grown up."
