Chapter 1129

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

Oliver scooted closer, practically squishing himself against Josefina.

"Oliver, you're too big! Stop squishing me," Josefina playfully elbowed him, half- annoyed, half-amused.

Oliver leaned in, swiping her phone with a grin. "Josie, there's a hacker trying to break into our company's firewall."

Josefina turned, her deep, dark eyes wide with surprise. "What? That's... terrifying."

Oliver chuckled softly. "Is it really that scary?"

"Of course it is! We're talking about hackers here. Is your security strong enough? Everything okay?"

Looking into Josefina's sincere eyes, Oliver couldn't help but wonder if she was genuinely clueless. "Josie, are you telling me you had no idea?"

Josefina shook her head vigorously. "I had no clue, honestly."

Pulling her closer, Oliver locked eyes with her, "Josie, you know every action leaves

a trace, right? It can be tracked."

Josefina fell silent. Was Oliver trying to catch her off guard?

Oliver continued, "Should I call you K, or 'my dear wife'?"

Josefina was speechless.

"Sammuel's security system got stripped bare again, Oliver. You're quite

something." Josefina finally admitted defeat with a sigh.

She suspected she might get exposed, but she couldn't bear the thought of Oliver's company being at risk.

In marriage, his problems were her problems too.

"The tech team thought I was K. Jimmy even came by to ask. I bet he's already figured out you're actually K."

Josefina was at a loss for words again.

Sitting up, she changed the subject, "Let's head home. I'm starving and could really go for some shrimp cocktail."

Oliver nodded, "Sure, let's eat."

He knew Josefina was just trying to dodge an encounter with Jimmy.

After all, time has a way of mellowing out curiosity, right?

Oliver and Josefina slipped away quietly.

When Jimmy came looking, he was told Oliver and Josefina had already left.

Jimmy stomped his foot in frustration. "This is just cruel!"

George chuckled, "Jimmy, you wanted to chat with the boss's wife? You've got some nerve."

Jimmy sighed, "I just wanted to get to the truth, but it looks like I'm out of luck."

George laughed, "Just get back to work and quit poking your nose into the missus' business."

Jimmy felt a pang of regret. He really did want to have a word with the big leagues!

...

As Oliver peeled shrimp for Josefina, she savored the tender, juicy morsels.

"Oliver, about the tech

department-maybe I

by tomorrow. If the ould drop

hacker didn'

succeed, they might try again."

If secrets from Oliver's company were stolen, the losses would be significant.

"No need for you to go. I'll have the tech team use this as a learning opportunity."

Without any real danger, they'd gotten a bit too comfortable with their supposed expertise.

Oliver decided, and Josefina didn't press further. They'd see how things unfold.

...

After their meal, Josefina headed to her fashion company.

Upon hearing Josefina was in, Alex promptly entered her office, looking a bit sheepish.

"Have a seat," Josefina's tone was as steady as ever.

Alex, scratching his head awkwardly, began, "Ms. Josefina, I didn't mean to keep you in the dark, didn' expect to end up with Deanna. That dinner was our first date."

Josefina raised an eyebrow. "So, what's your plan?"

"Ms. Josefina, I'll handle this. I'll have Deanna move to another company."

Josefina was a bit taken aback. "She agreed to that?"

"For me, she will. The company is still growing, and I can't just leave

Ket vel?

romance is tricky, and I'll be careful."
