Chapter 396

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

Lena stared at the feast in front of her with mixed emotions. The crab was buttery and rich, the shrimp was juicy, and the dumplings were bursting with flavor. Each dish was even more delicious than the last.

But as tasty as everything was, Lena couldn't help feeling a bit irritated.

She was convinced Annika and Josefina had teamed up to embarrass her!

But it's not like she had told anyone she was planning to get seafood herself!

And seriously, how could Josefina have arranged for all this seafood to be flown in on such short notice?

Lena's head spun with confusion, but eventually, she decided to blame Josefina.

It was all Josefina's fault!

With renewed determination, Lena dug into the meal.

If Josefina had bought it, she was going to make sure she got her fill!

...

As dinner wrapped up, Josefina chatted with everyone for a while.

Garrett piped up, "Josie, Dorian's got a surprise for you. Let's go check it out."

Dorian's eyes sparkled with affection as he looked at Josefina. "I hope you like it."

Curious, Josefina asked, "What is it?"

"Just come with me," Dorian said, leading the way.

Josefina stood and followed Dorian outside.

They walked past the gazebo, skirted the ornamental pond, and stopped at a secluded corner of the estate.

There stood a quaint little cottage with a surprisingly large yard.

"This was supposed to be a greenhouse," Dorian explained, "but I turned it into a lab. I talked to some medical experts and set it up exactly how they suggested. Sis, go take a look."

Josefina was floored by Dorian's thoughtfulness.

Inside, she found a massive laboratory filled with all kinds of scientific equipment and materials.

Lena, watching from the sidelines, was seething with envy.

She was a medical student too!

Why hadn't Dorian thought to build her a personal lab?

Feeling like an outsider in her own family, Lena's heart sank.

Meanwhile, as Dorian showed Josefina around, Hattie gently tugged at Lena's arm. "Lena, it's not that Dorian didn't want to build you a lab; it's just that your field doesn't really need one. Josie's work is different – she needs a lab for her

research." s

Garrett added, "Dorian got you a one-of-a-kind dress. It's being delivered tomorrow."

They were trying to reassure Lena that she wasn't being left out.

She would always have her place in the family.

Lena smiled sweetly and said, "Mom, Dad, might be a little jealous of how well Dorian treats my sister but he should be good to her. She's gone through a lot; we should cherish her all the more. She's so talented - she deserves be own lab. Dorian's done an amazing job, he's so thoughtful." s

The atmosphere lightened, and everyone seemed to be in good spirits again. Check latest chapters at FιndNovel.net

Once the tour was over, they headed back.

As they reached the door, Dorian said, "Josie, register your fingerprint. This lab

will only open for you, no one else."

Josefina nodded, entered her fingerprint, and the lab officially became hers.

"Thank you, Dorian. I absolutely love this gift. It's perfect," she beamed.

"No need to thank me. I'm just glad you like it," Dorian said, clearly relieved.

He had been worried that Josefina might still be upset about the earlier dress mishap, but thankfully, this gift had hit the spot.

As they were walking back, Ryan came running up, his eyes red and frantic, shouting, "Help! I need help!"
