Remus was fuming, "How can I be patient when my head's about to explode? She looks like an easy mark, but she's anything but."

"So, what's your game plan if you're short on patience? Think you can handle Josefina? Knock her off her pedestal?"

Remus was left speechless, not a comeback in sight.

"Got any bright ideas then?"

"Start by playing nice with Josefina. Keep tabs on her every move. Based on her actions, sniff out a weakness. Stir that pot until everything's upside down. If you can blow her mistakes out of proportion, it'll work in your favor."

Hearing this, a grin spread across Remus's face and he hung up, buzzing with excitement.

"Ms. Josefina, welcome back. I ordered some coffee, and this cup's for you. Brought it over myself."

"Thanks, Mr. Remus. Don't worry about the afternoon tea; I've got it covered. Kale's arranged it all, and your share will be delivered to your office."

"Ms. Josefina, you're too kind. To have such prowess at such a young age is truly commendable."

Josefina offered a coy smile. "Well, Mr. Remus, reaching the manager's position is quite impressive too."

Remus, ruffled by the interrogation, retorted, "Ms. Josefina, I've just joined the company and I'm still getting the lay of the land. I haven't had the time to deal with partnerships yet."

"If you haven't had the time for partnerships, then why did you reject the collaboration with Fox?"

Remus spoke icily, "Ms. Josefina, I don't think you have the knack to discern a win-win partnership. Fox's company is on the brink of bankruptcy. Why would you want to collaborate with them?"

"Just because they're nearly

bankrupt doesn't mean they are. A single collaboration could turn Fox's company around. They have the potential. We just need to give them a leg up, and we'll reap continuous benefits down the line."

"There's a long line of folks begging to partner with us. Why should we bother with someone on the verge of bankruptcy? Ms. Josefina, I can't agree with your judgment!"

Josefina slammed a contract down in front of him, "Remus, did you go behind my back and partner with this company because it's run by your brother-in-law?"

Remus was taken aback, clueless as to how Josefina had uncovered this.

Josefina continued, "Between Fox and your brother-in-law, I'd choose Fox every time. Your brother-in-law's company is new; they need us to pave their way Fox, on the other hand, has a factory"

Fuming and without a leg to stand on in the argument, Remus stormed out.

Josefina watched his retreating figure, shook her head, and shredded the contract.
