Chapter 442

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

Josie fluttered her eyes open to find Oliver's gaze fixed on her. "You've got some serious massage skills," she remarked, her voice tinged with surprise.

"Just picked them up the day before yesterday. Followed some tutorials online. Lucky you're into it," Oliver replied with a casual shrug, as if mastering the art of touch were as simple as flipping pancakes.

Her brow raised in curiosity. "You learned it just for me?"

"For you," he confirmed, a playful smile spreading across his lips.

She stared at him, taken aback by the tenderness in his voice, as sweet as the serenade of a morning songbird.

"You're going to tire yourself out. You need a massage too, you know."

Undeterred, Oliver had dug through the depths of the internet, on a quest to uncover the secrets to a girlfriend's heart. The answer? The soothing salvation of a good massage. After all, there's nothing like a relaxing rubdown to ease the weariness of the day.

He couldn't help but feel a sense of pride, watching the contentment in Josie's eyes as she reveled in the comfort he provided. "Josie, if it makes you happy, I'll massage you every day, for a lifetime."

As the words left his lips, steeped in affection, he was met with silence. Josie had drifted off to sleep.

Oliver chuckled softly, the sound warm with adoration, and ceased his ministrations.

When the car, guided by their ever-patient chauffeur, pulled up at Oliver's place, he attempted to scoop Josie into his arms. That's when she stirred awake.

Oliver's heart sank. "If I'd known, I would've told him to keep driving."

Sitting up, Josie took in the familiar night scene outside the window before turning to Oliver. "Why'd you bring me to your place, Oli? I wanna go home."

He massaged his forehead, regretting his impulsive decision. But he wouldn't push her. "Alright, Josie. Wherever you want to go, I'll take you."

So they drove on, the chauffeur's brow furrowing with confusion. How had Mr. Oliver not won over Ms. Josefina yet?

Despite his curiosity, the driver slowed the pace, providing Oliver with precious extra minutes to persuade his dear Josie to stay.

On impulse, Oliver had the driver stop at a burger joint to grab a meal for Josie. The fresh-off-the-grill burgers and crispy chicken filled the car with their tempting aroma. Josie devoured a double patty burger, and Oliver, ever the gentleman, handed her a cola to wash it down. She followed it with a handful of fries, and soon sat back, her smile a testament to a hearty meal well-enjoyed.

"Aren't you going to eat, Oliver?" she asked.

"I get more pleasure watching you eat," he quipped, his words slick as a buttered biscuit.

Josie rolled her eyes. His charm was as thick as molasses, and she wasn't buying it. With a full belly, she was more inclined to silence than banter.

Finally arriving at the Harrison family estate, they descended into the opulent underground garage. Chandeliers glinted above, the floor below spotless and cool to the touch.

"I'm heading up, Oliver. You should get some rest too," Josie suggested, her voice heavy with sleep.

The thought of accompanying her upstairs flickered in Oliver's mind, but seeing her so weary, he let it go.

"Alright, I'll walk you to the elevator."

She nodded, and he pressed the button for her. As the elevator doors closed on Josie, Oliver pressed the call button again and joined her inside. Using his broad frame, he shielded them from the camera.

Then, with a passion that could ignite the dimmest of lights, he wrapped her in his arms and kissed her fiercely. Josie's eyes glazed over with a mix of alarm and thrill. This was her family's elevator, after all.
