Chapter 612

Josefina waved goodbye to Hattie and decided to catch a quick nap.

The University of Melbourne was buzzing with energy that day.

Reid, lugging a suitcase, and Josefina, with her backpack slung over her shoulder, made their way through the bustling campus.

"Josie, I scoped it out earlier; your dorm's right over there. Let's drop off your stuff and get your bed sorted. You'll need to check in with your class too; the counselor's waiting."

"Calix, you're a gem."

"No sweat. I'm just proud to be the one who gets to help out from our big family."

Josefina couldn't help but chuckle and roll her eyes at the same time, following Reid as they walked.

Suddenly, a familiar face appeared beside her.

"Oliver? What are you doing here?" Josefina asked, surprised.

"Josie, it's your first day at uni. Of course, I had to come." Oliver grabbed Josefina's bag, carrying it for her.

Reid looked taken aback. "I thought I was the one seeing my sister off. What's your deal, showing up here?"

Reid didn't know Oliver well and wasn't thrilled about his presence.

This was his sister, not Oliver's business.

Oliver coolly replied, "I'm the one who should be here for Josie's big day."

Reid was about to say something when Oliver took Josefina's hand, leading her away.

Josefina quickly pulled her hand back. "Oliver, don't do that."

Reid caught up and shot Oliver a glare. "Hey, back off."

Then, in a gentler tone, he said to Josefina, "Josie, let's keep moving. It's too crowded here."

Josefina nodded and followed Reid, leaving Oliver trailing behind.

When they got to the dorm, it was empty; Josefina was the first to arrive.

Oliver helped Josefina make her bed, clean her desk, and even stocked her locker with snacks he'd brought.

"Thanks, you two should head back now. I've got to check in. Appreciate all the help; I'll see you later," Josefina said.

Reid gave Oliver a side-eye before leaving without a word.

Oliver didn't seem to mind and left the campus as well.

After they left, someone lurking around the corner took a quick peek before retreating. She sent a text: "Josefina s at the dorm. Proceeding as planned

After finishing up at school, Josefina walked out and spotted Oliver's car amidst the busy traffic.

Oliver stood outside, catching the eyes of many passersby with his striking looks. With a wave, he got into the car, and soon, Josefina joined him.

Oliver handed her an iced latte. "Here, have this first. I'll take you out for dinner."

Josefina took a sip and felt instantly refreshed. Nothing like a cold drink on a hot day.

"Oliver, can you take me home? I promised Mom I'd be there for dinner."

Oliver, gripping the steering wheel,

hit the brakes and turned to look at

Josefina. "Josie, what about me? Didn't you think of me? You can

spend time with your family you spare some for me?"

Caught off guard by his earnest gaze, Josefina awkwardly chuckled, "Alright 'l have dinner with you now and head home later. I don't have to stay in the dorm tonight sing

training starts tomorrow."

Finally, Oliver smiled and reached into his pocket, handing Josefina something.
