Chapter 763

Josefina brought Robot No. 1 back home by herself. When Reid saw her towing his cherished robot with a trailer, his heart almost sank.

Josefina tried to explain, "Reid, it's all my fault. Last night, I told Robot No. 1 to find a cool spot to chill, and he ended up... in the water."

She couldn't bring herself to mention that the robot had wandered into the fridge, fearing Reid might blow a gasket over Oliver.

“Reid, I messed up. But trust me, I promise I can fix Robot No. 1."

Reid looked up with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. If it had been anyone other than Josefina, he'd probably be throwing a fit, not smiling.

"Sis, it's fine. I'll take Robot No. 1 back to the office later and get it sorted."

"Reid, let me take care of it."

Josefina called out, "Annika, could you grab my tools for me? They're in the black cabinet at the back of the lab, lower left side. Use the cart, it'll make hauling them back easier."

"On it, Ms. Josefina." Annika got two security guards to help her, and they headed off to the lab.

Despite Reid's protests, Josefina persuaded him to let her have a go.

Josefina dragged the robot into the garden and settled under the gazebo to work on Robot No. 1.

Reid crouched beside her, "Sis, let me handle it. You haven't learned this stuff."

"Reid, honestly, I've always been into robots and picked up a thing or two. Don't worry. Head to work, and by the time you're back, Robot No. 1 will be as good as new."

With no room to argue and a meeting to catch, Reid reluctantly left for work, feeling down.

Josefina got busy in the gazebo, her precious toolbox spread out before her.

Decked out in his best, Oliver arrived at the Harrison family home and found out Josefina was in the garden gazebo. He started heading over.

Just as he began, he saw Hattie and Garrett walking ahead, chatting away.

Hattie said, "I'm not trying to knock Reid, but his robot's a bust, and yet he's got the nerve to have Josie fix it. The robot goes kaput, and now Josie has to step in, wearing herself out"

Garrett replied, "I've already given him a piece of my mind, calm down."

"I can't calm down. No robot is worth more than my precious Josie."

They hurried on, leaving Oliver standing there with a smile tugging at his lips, feeling a pang of envy for Josie.

Why didn't he get parents like that, especially with his mom gone so early?

Seeing his Josie being adored made him happy. She deserved nothing but the best!

Hattie and Garrett reached the gazebo.

The once lifeless Robot No. 1 stood up.

Spotting Hattie and Garrett, it greeted politely, "Good morning, Garrett, Hattie."

Hattie and Garrett were amazed.

"Josie, did you fix the robot?" Garrett asked, astonished.

"Dad, I learned a bit back in the day

so I know some basics. The robot

was just frozen with waterlogged

parts. It's fine now."

Hattie boasted, "My amazing daughter pulled it off. Reid's been at it for years, but Josie's got him beat."

Josefina couldn't help but laugh and shake her head, thinking about how Reid would react to their mom's comments.

With a smile, Josefina said, "Mom, Dad, Reid's really talented too."

"Your brother is talented, but Josie's in a league of her own," Hattie said proudly, her eyes only on Josefina.

Garrett added, "Breakfast is ready,

Josie. Come grab a bite. I'll chat with Reid about the robot later. You must

be starving after all that work.
