Chapter 928
Josefina hung up the phone, got out of bed, and quickly freshened up before dressing for the day. After a hearty breakfast of scrambled eggs and toast, she hopped into her car and drove to the office. She first reviewed the company's financial status, then checked out the new designs slated for release this month. With work wrapped up, she headed to campus for her classes.
Walking into the dorm, Josefina noticed Joelle's bed now sported a pink comforter, and a girl was busy organizing clothes on it. "Who are you?" Josefina asked. The girl turned around with a bright smile. "Josie, surprise!" Josefina was taken aback. Mandy had actually moved into her dorm.
"I talked to the counselor, and they said I could move in here. Josie, think about it, we'll go to classes together every day. How great is that?" Mandy looped her arm through Josefina's, plopping down next to her and handing her a bottle of water. "Living with you is going to be awesome!"
At the start of the semester, Mandy hadn't been too fond of Josefina, but now, three months in, she couldn't imagine not being around her. As the weather turned chilly, Josefina, in her crisp white tracksuit, was as stunning as ever.
Mandy brought out a bag of homemade cookies and placed it in front of Josefina. "Josie, have some cookies. I'll finish unpacking, and then we can grab dinner. Let's invite the other roommates too—my treat." Mandy was as cheerful as a bird in the forest, and her joy was contagious.
Haylee returned to find Mandy had moved in. Seeing how easygoing she was, there were no objections. Their dorm room was lively once again.
Later, as Josefina and Mandy strolled through campus, a handsome guy
approached with a love letter in hand. "Josefina, I like you," he blurted, quickly
slipping the letter into her bag before dashing off, as if afraid of immediate rejection.
Mandy chuckled, "Josie, you've got quite the fan club."
Josefina could only sigh in
response. Just then, Oliver called.
"Oliver, why aren't you asleep? It's late over there," Josefina answered. "Josie miss you too much to
sleep, he replied Mandy smiled a laugh. Who said Oliver was cold and
heartless? When it came to love, he was all warmth and passion.
Mandy yelled into Josefina's phone, "Hey, brother-in-law, someone just gave Josie a
love letter. Watch out, she's quite the catch!" With that, Mandy scampered away.
Josefina, a bit exasperated, clarified, "Don't listen to her; it's nothing."
"Josie, you don't need to explain. I know it's true. You're amazing, so of course, people are drawn to you," Oliver said confidently. "Too bad for them, they can't compare to me. You only have eyes for me." Josefina
you even talking about? There's no 'grass' waiting for me to 'pick'. I've got to go, driving home now."

She ended the call, Oliver's playful possessiveness lingering in her thoughts, Shaking her head, Josefina hurried towards the parking lot near the school. That's when she spotted a man standing by her car, his back turned, seemingly trying to peer through the windows thought crossed Josefina's mind-could this guy be a thief?
