Chapter 932

Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess · Dana E.

She stayed put, determined to see what Rowan had up his sleeve. In the next moment, the two bodyguards Rowan had brought along were escorting Sydney to the front door. Rowan followed closely, standing at the threshold with a calm, detached look on his face as he addressed Sydney.

"I really like this house, so I'm keeping it. This is where we part ways. You should leave."

Just then, Dominic showed up, looking bewildered. "Dad, what do you mean by that?"

Sydney, tears welling up, cried out, "Dominic, your dad wants to divorce me! Can you believe it? He's actually talking about a divorce!"

"Dad, how can you do this to Mom? You've been together for twenty years. Even if Mom hasn't been perfect, she's been through so much with you."

"I get that, which is why I'm leaving her with everything," Rowan replied.

Sydney, fuming, shot back, "You're leaving me with nothing! What have you really given me, Rowan? Just take a couple of days to calm down and think it over, will you?"

Dominic was just as anxious, worried he might be next if Sydney was left with nothing. He resolved to keep Sydney around. "Dad, maybe you should sit down and talk this through with Mom. Don't rush into anything."

"I have nothing to discuss with her," Rowan said coldly before turning back inside and shutting the door.

Seeing this, Dominic took Sydney away.

In the car, Sydney was beside herself, angrily punching the decorative pillows. "Dominic, Rowan's lost his mind! It's like he's under some kind of spell, wanting to divorce me and leave me with nothing! It's unthinkable! I won't let it happen!"

"Mom, I don't want you to leave with nothing either. How did you lose control over Rowan? What went wrong?"

"We'll figure it out when we get home. I need to check the lab first."

Dominic nodded, and they drove away.

...

When Josefina heard about Rowan's decision to divorce Sydney, she was taken aback. Brandon, however, seemed relieved. "I've been waiting for this day. Honestly, Josie, if weren't for you helping him see the light, he might have gone to his grave never realizing the mess he was in."

Josefina, sitting in Brandon's cozy living room, offered some comfort. "Grandpa Brandon, try not to dwell on it too much. It's good that Mr. Rowan finally sees Sydney for who she truly is Let's hope he sticks with

If he meets up with Sydney again, who knows what could happen."

"He won't get the chance! I've got people watching him, keeping him at home. He's not going anywhere. I've even hired landscapers to clear out every plant and tree where he used to live with Sydney Not a blade of grass will be left!"

Brandon was adamant about removing anything that might cloud Rowan's judgment, determined to uproot all influences.

Josefina handed Brandon a bottle of medicine, which he took eagerly. "Grandpa Brandon, this medicine was just developed. It would've been great to have it earlier."

"Josie, that's just fate. Rowan, the fool, just doesn't have good fortune. He had a good life, and he threw it away."

"Grandpa Brandon, Sydney won't give up easily. She'll try to reconnect with Mr. Rowan. You need to be prepared for that."

"This time, I won't let Sydney get a foothold. She's no longer connected to the Baldwin family."

As they spoke, Brandon's phone rang. He answered it, his expression quickly turning serious. "What?"
